Do you have to enable encrypted passwords for smbpasswd to work? I have yet to enable encryption because I wanted to test everything first, but have enabled 'update encrypted = Yes' so that this will update the smbpasswd file. Hi, In the aftermath of the signing key expiring a couple of days ago, it seems that the Ubuntu repositories are no longer signed (there is no Release.gpg file present).
