Patch for the bestfortress driver 0.02
I could not make the bestfortress driver 0.02 work for my Best Fortress LI675VA,
so I have made a patch for the driver.
The reason was, that all responses are preceded and terminated by CR LF, but the driver would discard everything after the first CR
LF.
The following patch discards everything up to the first LF.
It also adds a debugging feature of displaying the accepted data (level 5 i.e. -D

Starting a program inside VM through libvirt
Hi again.
I was just wondering if there are any support for running programs inside a
VM through libvirt. From what I can see in the API the only solution I
found was connecting to the VM with openConsole and running the program I
want. This however seems a bit tricky through Python and I was just
wondering if there are any simpler solutions.
Best regards.

Ruby app to rails?
Hi.
Im am considering porting an c++ application to Ruby, and me company
would also like to have an web-version of this particular application.
If say there is an XML validator in the app. Then can Ruby and RoR share
this in an easy way, so i wouldnt have to maintain 2 branches of the
same XML validator.
Best Regards.

VoicePulse SIP
Dear Sirs,
Anybody ever tried running SIP up against Voicepulse? On their
http://connect.voicepulse.com they claim they support both SIP and IAX, but
I can't seem to get SIP running. I have as mentioned before on this list -
huge problems getting any timing devices running on some of my machines, so
IAX is not really an option right now. If I try I get a "Service
Unavailable"

I would think so, but I might have missed something.
<p>Here is my IceS2-config - with this one, the problem manifests after 2
minutes of playing, and the client is disconnected after 3 minutes.
I have tried tweaking bitrate, quality,

Intermittent long (~20-second) delays getting to files in a share
Hi,
I'm a newbie to the list, so bear with my ignorance.
I have installed 3.0.14a on FC3, and am using it on a network of 5 XP boxes.
The symptoms are as follows:
When I initially start using the server, there is a significant delay (~
20 seconds) to accessing the share (home directory or a regular file
share). After that I can open files with no problems (near-instant
response) for about 2

samba and msaccess help please
Hopefully this is a samba question, and not a Microsoft Access question...
I have a multiuser access database on a samba share... it worked fine with multiple users being able to connect to it at the same time no probs. I just upgraded the linux box to red hat 6, copied across the same smb.conf from before and now users are getting a error "Too many active users" when more than one

Server drops client - problem with IceS?
Hi there,
I just joined the list and have a question on one of the earlier posts:
On Oct 28 2003, Ricardo wrote that his server diconnected his clients. I
have the exact same problem - and a bit of testing/analysis.
<p>I am running an Icecast server and IceS on the same linux box. IceS is
encoding a live stream from my sound card.
After a while of listening (approx 2 mins) from another

Eicon Diva Server 4BRI
Hi Everybody,
Has anybody tried the above (or indeed any other 4XBRI cards) successfully
with Asterisk. As far as I can see the above mentioned card is an active
ISDN card but supported by it's own I4L driver. This leads to interesting
questions particularly regarding echo cancellations (which usually doesn't
work on the cheap passive cards with one exception as far as I can see).

Confusion with page_segments / segment_table
Hi,
There is something I don't understand about the page_segment and segment_table values in the documentation.
As I understand it, the segment table consist of as many bytes as specified in page_segment, PLUS one trailing byte with a value between 0 and 254.
I've looked at some files that has a Comment tag so large, that it is spread over two pages. Here, the first Page Header (not the

Problems w. chan_capi + ztdummy
Hi Everybody
I've got a weird problem. I am running one Asterisk system on a dual
processor box. This box mostly do VoIP only but it has a Fritz PCI ISDN
card installed with latest drivers. Dialing out through the ISDN cards from
an internal Snom phone works fine and so does dialing in. Except - if I
load the ztdummy module (for IAX channels) the capi drivers starts acting
up. It is hard

What tags are allowed in ogg files?
Hi,
I'm writing a tag-editor for ogg files.
What tags, besides ogg-tags, are allowed in ogg files (if any).
I'm thinking of id3v1, id3v2, ape tags and so on.
I have a (probably small) problem with writing a new "comment header". I
have tried opening a file with a valid header, and then simply moved some of
the comment tags position,
so that the total size and the count still

RedHat 7.2 quota problem

I need to setup quota on ext3 filesystem. I created /aquota.* files with 600 chmod, added grpquota and usrquota to /etc/fstab, remouted partition,

but when I try
[root@zeby root]# quotaon /

SIP Changes???
Hi Everybody
Any significant changes to CVS HEAD over the last couple of days. I've got
two asterisk boxes - both on public IP but one is dynamic. The one on
dynamic IP registers at the other one - that part is fine.
Calls going from the one with dynamic to the static one goes fine.
Call the other way results now in:

*Real* real time streaming (no delay/latency)?
Hello
Does anyone have experience with _real_ real time streaming - i.e. with
very little delay/latency?
I need to stream from point A to point B in near-CD quality via a 100
Mbit network. That is easily done using icecast. But here is the tricky bit:
I want as little delay in the signal as possibble - preferrably below 50ms!
I have made a test setup encoding on and serving from an 800 MHz

Samba 3 + Exchange 5.5
Hi Everybody,
I've been asked to upgrade an old NT4 server with a new server running
Debian/Samba. I've got no problem with migrating the old server, but I do
have one "unknown". The company mail run on an Exchange server that is
most likely part of the NT4 network. Has anybody tried this setup? I did
look in documentation and google and found precious little - which to me
