Hi, I have a need to do some file transfers between my AIX 4.3.3 boxes and Apple PC's. I use SAMBA to provide shares to PC's, but I know nothing about Apple. FTP is an option, but less desirable than setting up a share. Does anyone have experience with using SAMBA to set up shares with Apple clients? I know that there are, other products to accomplish what I ask, but in terms of support

Hello, My question is the same as "Windows 98 Passwords" in your Samba FAQ replacing Windows 98 with Windows 2000. What is the registry to be modified to enable Plain Text Password with Windows 2000 ? After trying to get WinXP (Pro) to try and find my domain so I can log on I've finally done it, but now when I try and join my WinXP client to the domain, windows asks me to enter the username and password of an account with permission to join the domain. I now have a machine configured as a domain controller authenticating all windows users via openLDAP. openLDAP is also authenticating all of our linux users.
