Fwd: Re: Connecting problem:Need Help
Yes they all were sussessful except for the test I couldnt perform. I can see the linux icon in win neighborhood , but get server not accessible when I click the icon. It must have something to do with the ns lockup in the windoze. Joel Hammer <Joel@HammersHome.com> skrev: And, they all were successful? (I don't take anything for granted.) I log inn as root on the win95 client and can not install the printer as a network printer. But

At that moment I have scanned the lan card an I have this screen dump. 04:15:55.053492 kjersti.hauge.netbios-ns > 192.168.0.255.netbios-ns: >>> NBT UDP PACKET(137): QUERY; REQUEST;

Samba 2.2.5 is crap.
Unstable windozes (hangs all the time) Major bugs in the printing system, mount and smbmount commands. Samba 2.2.5 is completely usable if you ask me. Crap I would say and should never been released. I consider to change to Beeweb although it cost money. BTW how do u uninstall the dirt?? using ./uninstall ??? ===== Investigating the Norwegain 4.th Secret ServiceThe multiheaded

Problem Seeing Linux Machine From Windows Machine
I am very new to Samba, so please excuse this naive question. Samba seems to be working properly from my Red Hat 7.2 system. I am using a GUI called xSMBrowser, and am able to transfer files back and forth to the Windows machines on my network. I now want to access my Linux system from a Windows 98 machine. I can see it ('Mail') in 'My Network Places' within the workgroup

setlmasterrole in config
Hi Jeremy, and Martin, Digging in the code I think I figured it out (though untested). Here is my Ansible fragment. Is this correct for the property names? ... CTDB DBDIR Options? Errors
This turns out to be an SELinux issue. Does anyone know the proper commands to restorecon or otherwise to set the SELinux policy for persistent/volatile database files moved to a different directory? setlmasterrole in config
How can setlmasterrole be set persistently? Is there a way to put it in some config file? If not, if setting it from the command line is the only option, what is the recommended approach to ensure it is set upon reboot? Formatting runner output as HTML
I found documentation on Runner & calling Spec on the command line. I''m able to run it on multiple models or a single one and format the output as HTML now. Previously I used the Rake task expecting it to behave the same way passing --format html:path/to/file.html or setting it somehow in spec.opts. But I''m not quite there yet. Should the Rake task work the same way or is

CTDB Question w/ Winbind
Hi Martin It seems as though, when I go from `clustering = no` to `clustering = yes`, if I do a domain join, it will fail. However, if I do a `systemctl restart ctdb` (knowing full well it will fail every time), if after this I add a sleep(15), then do a domain join, then do a `systemctl restart ctdb`, then the join will have worked, AND CTDB will start properly. So in a nutshell, in Ansible, -

broken URL on rspec.info
Hey folks. I was looking for the mailing list archive up on rspec.info. I clicked on the "community" link and received the URL "http://ey01-s00414/community/". This isn''t correct, obviously. The hint shows it as, "http://rspec.info/community". Where is the mailing list archive? How far back does it go? I''d really like to read back through it

CTDB Question w/ Winbind
Hi Martin, you seem to do a lot of work on CTDB. Let me ask a question... Is there a way to segment CTDB/Samba to minimize chatter? Specifically, what I have in mind... In recent years advances have been made in distributed SQL databases (ideas which are applicable here) whereby the communication profile between peers are minimized, and synchronization is never necessary except in circumstances
