I just configured a server to use the CUPS printing system and have all my printers shared out by Samba. I made all the necessary changes to the smb.conf file but don't want to restart samba in the middle of the day since it is a high traffic server and don't want to break connections. Is there a way to just have samba load all these printers without restarting the service????

I tried to install printcd (2.0) using wine ver 1.3.28. It installs but cannot find the printer. The error message is driver for cd printing not found. I can print manually by making my RX700 the printer default, but the output to plain paper is badly distorted. I'm running Ubuntu 11.10. Otherwise the program seems to run correctly. Any suggestions? Hello! Has anyone had any luck getting CUPS to talk to an Epson Workforce 600 printer? I got pipslite and eklite.ppd extracted (and modified it to use Letter instead of A4) but I can't seem to get CUPS to talk succesfully with the printer.
