Invalid Argument ls dir mounted share
I'm using Fedora Core 6 which uses cifs.mount version 1.10. When mounting shares from a particular Windows 2003 R2 server, I cannot read certain directories. For example, when performing an 'ls' command as follows: [root@backup Admin]# ls /share/CORP-SERVER/C\$/Corp/User\ Files/xxx\ Finacial\ Shared/Admin/Freddie\ Mac/ ls: reading directory /share/CORP-SERVER/C$/Corp/User Files/xxx

Re: Ubuntu 16.04 libvirt-guests.sh [6917] - running guests under URI address default: no running guests
I'm not familiar with the libvirt codebase, but the extension of libvirt-guests.sh indicates that it is a shell script. Maybe you can modify it to find the spot where it hangs? 2017-07-09 18:49 GMT+02:00 Jędrek Domański <jedrek.domanski@gmail.com>: > Yeah, I know. Re: Ubuntu 16.04 libvirt-guests.sh [6917] - running guests under URI address default: no running guests
You can't expect anyone to step up happily to fix a problem you experience. If you're unhappy with the open source solution you have at least 4 options: 1. buy a license for red hat 2. get customer support from red hat 3. buy a license for vmware 4. work out why it doesn't work, give feedback to the community and may even work out a fix that you can give back to the community. with a

Yeah, I know. Sorry for my demanding attitude. Re: Ubuntu 16.04 libvirt-guests.sh [6917] - running guests under URI address default: no running guests
Hi Dominik, So what is going on on my computer with the script *libvirt-guests.sh*? Why is it hanging on it? How should I address this problem? I really appreciate your help! Re: Ubuntu 16.04 libvirt-guests.sh [6917] - running guests under URI address default: no running guests
I just wanted to point out that you're only resolving the symptom, not the actual cause. At the same time I'm afraid that I don't know what the cause of your problems is. If you don't want to run virsh guests you probably won't need the service, but then what's the point of having libvirt-bin installed in the first place? :-) Cheers 2017-07-07 23:23 GMT+02:00 Jędrek

Dominik, As far as I am concerned the command provided by Andrea disables libvirt-guests service at boot. jedrek@Home:~$ service libvirt-guests status ● libvirt-guests.service - Suspend Active Libvirt Guests Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/libvirt-guests.service; *disabled*; vendor preset: enabled) Active: inactive (dead) Docs: man:libvirtd(8) http://libvirt.org When

Re: Ubuntu 16.04 libvirt-guests.sh [6917] - running guests under URI address default: no running guests
Note that this disables the shutdown of libvirt guests when the host shuts down. 2017-07-07 16:20 GMT+02:00 Jędrek Domański <jedrek.domanski@gmail.com>: > Andrea, > > You are a genius!!! :D It's worked :)) Thank yo so much!!! Hey FWIW, I have virsh running on my laptop too and no virtual machines registered to autostart but my laptop reboots just fine and shows no traces of any warnings. Profiles on Samba
How can I disable the roaming profiles that are stored on the server? I'm running samba2.2.3a with about 40 clients consisting of Win98 & W2k machines. My Linux disk keeps running out of space and I don't really need the profiles to be duplicated on the server. I've commented the logon path line in smb.conf and tried 'logon path = ""'. It didn't seem to work.

Hello, We have just migrated our large dev file server on linux+samba (Mandrake8.2+samba2.2.3a). It works almost fine but here are some question asked by some users I can't answer, after reading the manuals, the FAQs...and reading this list for a while : 1. Why can't NT clients do several levels mkdir ? I mean doing a mkdir toto/titi would create first a toto directory and then a

I have a pcwin3.11. I was mapping solaris 2.5 with samba2.0.5 fine. I added the solaris2.7 system with samba2.0.7 to this small lan. Actaully this solaris 2.7 box was another 2.5 box that I upgraded it. I ftped the smb.conf file from the solaris2.5 box to the solaris 2.7 box so that this way the two solaris systems match and that pcwin3.11 will work with both equally well. I even mated the
