SV: Samba-Citrix compatability
I have searched for some FAQ/HOWTO regarding Citrix/Metaframe to no avail. (Like this one http://samba.org/~jht/HOWTO/Samba-HOWTO-Collection.pdf ) What I would like to see in such a FAQ/HOWTO: - Compilation issues regarding Citrix/metaframe - - ie the need to increase the MAX_CONNECTION setting before compilation - - ie how to compile samba to a 64 bit application to get more available file

Samba 2.0.3 and NT Terminal Server SP4/MetaFrame 1.8
I'm running NT 4.0 Terminal Server (Service Pack 4) with Citrix MetaFrame 1.8 on a PC, and Samba 2.0.3 on an HP-UX box. We've been having occasional problems with files not saving correctly, and also with files not unzipping or copying correctly. I suspect it's some sort of incompatibility between Samba and Terminal Server/Metaframe and/or SP4. For

Samba and Citrix Metaframe.
Hi Folks, I was wondering if anybody else on this list is using, or trying to use, Samba (esp. on an IBM mainframe) as a print server in a Citrix Metaframe environment, or are we the first? We're getting one or two odd problems... Metaframe is creating the printers on our Samba server as "Client" printers, rather that connecting to them direct. We can connect and print fine from

RE: security=domain and Citrix MetaFrame on W2K was Windows 2000T erminal Server and Samba
Troy, This does work in the security=domain situations (This is what I am currently using in my smb.conf). You do not need to do anything special for joining the doman when using the aliases. Citrix Web client
Citrix Web client lets me login to the Metaframe server, but when I try to launch an application, I get a message that I cannot connect to the server. I must have 128-bit SSL support installed. . . . I'm using Firefox 1.5 as a browser and I can log into my bank, which requires the 128 bit SSL, so somewhere between logging into the Citrix server and trying to launch an application,

Outlook XP/2002 with Samba
Please help, We've searched high and low for a solution, but nothing. We're upgrading our Office 2000 to Office XP on Metaframe 1.8/NT TSE. We use a Samba 2.0.7 and 2.2.2 on Solaris 2.6 and 2.8 respectively. Both are disallowing the user to write to their outlook.pst file. What's more, we can compact the PST file, but ONLY OUTSIDE of outlook (example, right clicking on properties

Samba 2.0.x unusable for this environment
I just attempted to upgrade from Samba 1.9.18p10 to Samba 2.0.4b, and I have had to revert to 1.9.18p10 in less than a day. I attempted to upgrade to 2.0.1 back in January, and had to back off as well. I was hoping the problems I saw then would be resolved in 2.0.4b. I sent a message to this list back in January or February as well, but saw no responses. My environment is about 210 Win95 PCs

Outlook XP on NT 4.0 Terminal Server Edition & Samba
To start with, I'd like to praise the entire Samba Team, Samba 2.2.3.a compiled and installed perfected. I wish all vendors could do that good of job. Great documentation too! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK. Now that the "cheese" is over with... I posted a problem the other day concerning the funtionality between Outlook XP .PST files and Samba 2.2.2 & 2.0.7 on Solaris 2.6 As it

Samba 3 and Windows 2000 (SP4) Terminal Server
Hello, at this time we're using s. 2.2.8a (running on SuSE-Linux StandardServer 8 - Kernel 2.4.21) as fileserver for our terminal server environment. We ran into the 128 connections per client limitation and had to modify the MAX_CONNECTIONS-parameter in smbd/conn.c. Now we're planning the migration from s. 2.2.8a to s. 3.0.1. Is the modification in smbd/conn.c still necessary, when using

2.2.3a PDC Win2K Citrix Profiles
This weekend I upgraded SAMBA from 2.2.2 to 2.2.3a then made it the PDC on our LAN. Original PDC was an NT4 Server. There is a Win2K Server running Citrix Metaframe-XP, and the old NT4 PDC Server was replaced with another Win2K Server to be the Database Server. I didn't want to bother with setting Win2K up as a DNS and DFS/ADS Server (required for being a PDC), so selected to make SAMBA the
