Rails 3.0.6 ETA?
Hello, Is there some Rails 3.0.6 ETA? I am asking because there are some security holes in Rails 3.0.3, which are currently available in Fedora 15. So is it right time to update Rails to 3.0.5 or is it worth of waiting for 3.0.6? Vit -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Core" group. UNC windows path beginning with backslashes: normalizePath bug??
Hi, Back in June I posted the message below, but had no replies. I've made a little progress since then so this is to update anyone interested (!) and to ask for comments. Brief problem statement: Under Windows, some parts of R don't handle UNC paths beginning with backslashes. Specifically a) Sys.glob() fails to find some files breaking (e.g.) Rcmdr plugins

analyzing suvival data using splines (a.k.a., piecewise log-hazard-ratio models)
I'm looking for software that makes plots such as fig 4 (a)-(e), fig 5 anf fig 7 of Gray, Robert, "Flexible Methods for Analyzing Survival Data Using Splines, with Applications to Breast Cancer Prognosis," 1992, J Am Stat Assoc, pp 942-51. SOLVED! PDC and BDC with LDAP and Samba 2.2.4
It's me again, with the solution to my problems. To get a working BDC, you have to kill samba, delete your secrets.tdb, create a MACHINE.SID and then restart samba. You will have to do this on the PDC and the BDC to have the same SID the the secrets.tdb file. Then machine account are valid even if you move your PDC, or you add a 2nd BDC, as long as you create the MACHINE.SID file before the

Samba running as PDC and BDC
I am in the process of investigating whether it's viable to replace our NT server domain with a linux server domain using SAMBA. The key is if Samba can act as a PDC, with other Samba BDCs in remote locations. Is this possible? ---------------------------------------------- Gabriel Matthews gabriel@cinergycom.com Network Support Cinergy Communications When life hands you

some question about BDCs
Hi, I want to set up SaMBa PDC and BDC with LDAP. I read the TOSHARG2, but don't understand something: >Samba-3 cannot participate in true SAM replication and is therefore not able to employ >precisely the same protocols used by MS Windows NT4. A Samba-3 BDC will not create >SAM update delta files. Ok, I understand until that, but: >It will not interoperate with a PDC (NT4 or

PDC and BDC with LDAP and Samba 2.2.4
Hi, I'm trying to build a PDC and BDC to elimenate Windows NT on a network and have load balancing and fault tolerence for users. I've compiled samba 2.2.4 on two servers, working with openldap 2.0.23 with a master and a slave. Replication on LDAP servers works fine. I've set up a domain controller and wanted to set the other server as BDC in case the PDC goes down. Each time i put

new progress reporting ETA and resume transfer options
I often use rsync as basically an scp with resume functionality, but there are a couple annoyances that've often come to mind while doing this. The first is that if I've already transferred a significant amount of a large file, the ETA is rather on the low side because rsync only takes into account the starting time, current time, and the current offset in the file when computing the
