Logon and logoff time for samba
Hi,
I setup a samba pdc, it works great. I have one question, how can I change
logon and logoff time for users when she/he log on and logoff? Thanks.
For example, logon and logoff time didn't change for that user "david".

NT username: david

MySQL authentication & kickoff time?
Hiya.
I'm in the middle of (re)developing a authentication system for an
internet cafe here in Sydney.
By complete accident I discovered the PDB MySQL plugin for samba
yesterday in CVS - amazing. Haven't tried this yet (waiting for samba
to compile on a really slow machine, heh) but it looks great.
Is anybody using this? Would you recommend it for use in a heavy use

Samba logoff script
Hello
Is it possible to create a samba logoff script. I currently use netlogon for
a logonscript. I also want a logoff scipt to allow me to back certain files
up once a user logs off.
Is this possible? If so how?

I need to log user logon and logoff
I need to log to a separated file just user/computer logon and logoff.
I would like not to use log level > 2 to do this.
I have tried using vfs_full_audit but it works well into shares
definitions.
I don't care if the user access a shared directory, I just need to
record user login and logoff.
Thanks

Efficient way to login/logoff users
Hi there,
I have a network running win9x/2000 machines, connected to
a samba server with ldap autentication. I wanna know if
there's way to receive information about login(principally
logoff) in a fast way.. The WIN machines take a long time to
send the logoff message (about 2-3min). I was thinking in
running a program every time the users login and logoff, this
program could send a

Cisco 79xx logon/logoff
Hi All,
I'd like to know if anyone has figured out a way to be able to have
users logon/logoff manually from Cisco 79xx phones (with SIP firmware
loaded)?
Scenario is, user walks into office, sits at a random desk, and logs
onto the phone. The system would need to "log them off" of the last
hardphone they were on, and then configure the new phone for their
extension.

agent logoff
I am using AgentCallbacklogin to logon agents. I am trying to avoid agents being logged in more than once in different extensions (is this a bug?) by passing the callerid to the AgentCallbacklogin funtcion as an option. The problem is that by doing this, agents are not asked for an extension and they cannot logoff (by pressing the #).
Any ideas how can agents logoff?

Logoff script?
Is there such a thing as a Samba logoff script? I am currently using
[NETLOGON] for logon scripts, but for the adding and removing of printers
via WSH, I'd prefer to also remove these printers after I log off.

Disconnecting: protocol error: rcvd type 98
When I SSH using protocol 1 from a Debian box running OpenSSH 2.9p2-4
to a sparc.sunos5 box running vanilla OpenSSH 2.9.1, after a little
while (of inactivity?) I get the following message on the client
terminal:
Disconnecting: protocol error: rcvd type 98
Looking further, this message is actually caused by the SSH daemon.
However, I'm at a loss to determine why sshd is doing this.

Agent Logoff inability when calls are being received from queue
Hello everybody,
I have started using Asterisk in a call center with ACD.
I have noticed something and I wonder if anyone knows whether it is a
bug or a feature!
I am using Queue application to ring a number of agents that have logged
on using AgentCallbackLogin.
Now, while an agent receives a call from the Queue they cannot logoff
using AgentCallbackLogin. Instead the Agent is asked for

XP doesn't logoff from samba domain
PDC: Samba 2.2.8a on linux 2.4.20 + XFS + ACL, rather normal configuration.
Client: Win XP Pro
When user logon to Domain, I can see him (smbstatus, utmpx). But when he
logoff, the record is still there. It disappears when I reboot the XP.
According to M$ knowledge-base the problem is that samba doesn't handle
the logoff correctly.
Do you have any solution of this?

Long logoff times - Win2k Client, Samba 2.2.2 PDC
Hi Folks:
I am seeing excessively long logoff times on my Win2k clients - I am using Samba
as a PDC.
Excessively long == 6+ minutes. Network is 100BT switched. Total cable feet
between client and server (including switch) - 10 foot. According to the
switch, both machines are running at 100BT speed, full duplex.
There is what appears to be a lot of network traffic between the client and the

how does agent logoff if you supply extension?
Per the wiki:
Logging off
1. call the extension for AgentCallbackLogin
2. enter your password followed by #
3. when asked for the extension number just press #
But if your exten=> is this:
exten => 2010,1,AgentCallbackLogin(3333|3044@mycontext)
How do they logoff per the wiki's directions? If you use ACBL as above, it
never asks you for the extension number because you have

slow logon (and logoff) to Samba PDC
One of my Win2000 clients takes about 5 minutes to logon
(and logoff) my Samba PDC. Other Win2000 clients are fine
so this may not be samba related but wanted to ask anyhow.
I have turned off the "enable offline folders" on the Win2000
machine so their is no synchronization stuff going on.
What else should I do ???

Profiles - Slow logoff
OK, I've finally got my Samba-LDAP PDC operational.
Everything seems to work fine but it takes an age to save settings when
logging off. What can I do (i.e. what would one normally do) to speed
things up? I do have a huge volume of files under ~/profile/My
Documents Will this affect the logoff time?

Dynamic Queue Members - Auto Logoff
Another quick question (Spending the day trying to get this project sorted
and tucked away) If I am dynamically adding queue members, they will not
abide to settings within agents.conf will they?
Ie. I need the equivalent of Autologoff however want my agents to receive
calls when someone joins the queue, not have to sit on hold all day. I see
AgentCallbackLogin has finally been removed.
