User list problem on Win9x.
I'm a bit confused about user enumeration on Win9x boxes. I've got a couple of machines running SaMBa. One (M2Dual) is running 2.0.7 with security = domain and domain server = M2Hub. The other (M2Hub) is running 2.2.3a with security = user. I also have three Win9x machines. All have user level security turned on. Roving profiles work on all machines and all users. Logon scripts run

unexpected.tdb
I have been using samba 2.2.2 for quit awhile running with security= share in my company. I looked into the /var/lock/samba and found a growing file unexpected.tdb. Is there a way to trim it down while samba is running or do I have to start and stop samba? Is this an expected behavior? TIA Joseph Loo

SWAT
I was playing with this on my test machine, (redhat 5.2, samba 2.0.3) worked great, and I was really impressed. So I decided to install this on my office machine. (redhat 4.2, samba 2.0.3) and the only significant difference is that on the office machine, I use encrypted passwords. I cannot get swat to authenticate on the second machine. That is, no matter what account, password combination

Winbind on Solaris 2.6
It would appear that communication with the PDC is fine - all other commands (-t, -m, -s SID, -n name, etc.) work OK, it's just the group/user enumeration calls that appear to fail. Has anybody got any ideas whatsoever - I think it has to be a problem on the NT PDC side as, according to the debug log at level 10: 000018 samr_io_r_query_dispinfo 0018 total_size : 00000000 001c

AT&T T1 Cable Needed!
Hi, I just got a T1 interface for a AT&T (became Lucent) System75 (uses same cards as Definity). I would take a crack at making a cable but can't determine the pinout for a cable and it is not apparent from the board. Asking you guys makes sense as one of you may have one of these systems. The cable has a amphenol male D50 connector on one end and probably a rj45 on the other. I also

2.2.3 or 3.0 ?
I'm running a small samba set-up at home, just a Solaris box as a file/print/PDC server, and some WinXP boxen. I'm not using anything fancy, just basic functionality, no other Win PDC servers or anything. Should I stick with 2.2.3 or try out the new 3, will it offer anything vastly superior ? Will I have to change smb.conf drastically ? Steve -- home steve@gbnet.org * Flat 2, 43

FAX over IAX
Hi, We are looking at consolidating our lines with PRI. This will allow the elimination of many fax lines. Some of them will be replaced with this type of config ... PRI * IAX * Channel-Bank FAX We will have daggressor suppressor enabled. Is anyone doing this and should I expect smooth operation? aacraid monitoring tool?
I've got myself an Adaptec 2200 HW RAID card to play for couple of days. Tha card uses aacraid device driver. Seems to work nicely, however just wandering if there's a tool (prefferably CLI) for CentOS that can read out RAID configuration data, status of individual drives, maybe even manage (create/delete) RAID devices? Thanks for any and all pointers.
