Hi, With 2.4.14 and the ext3 patch on redhat7.2 with my KT133A Athlon system, the kernel panics on boot up just after starting init. I removed the ext3 patch and the kernel did not panic (However I could not mount my ext3 file systems :) ). Is this a proble with ext3 of something different? Thanks for any help. BaRT

I suspect this has started after I installed the BLAS and LAPACK libraries. These two libraries where installed using the RPM manager under GNOME. Here is the crash and read-out from gdb. Hi, i set up samba on linux and from this site everything works well. I can ping my NT hosts with the ip-adress and with the netbios-name. From NT i can only ping the linux server with its ip-adress and not with its netbios-name. The linux server does not appear in the network surroundings.
