Extend logging of openssh-server - e.g. plaintext password
Also, if password-based auth is not allowed, WTF would you want to log passwords?
This whole idea is ugly, and smacks of a teenage-level prank attempt.
I would strongly object against any such modification of the main source (though I'm sure the maintainers are sane enough to never let such a crap in).
Of course the original poster is free to hack his own copy in whatever way he wants.?

OK, mine are slightly newer than that now, but I now get a working 64-
bit defconfig build. It'll still break with any PV

Browsing across subnets - network star configuration
Hi all,
I am trying to find a setup for browsing across subnets, however the
BROWSER.txt document doesn't cover this situation:
I have a network in a star configuration with a Linux machine acting as
a router in the middle.

Network UPS Tools (NUT) driver for Activepower 1400VA
I have found by trial and error that the Activepower 1400VA UPS
(uninterruptible power supply) (http://www.activepower.pl/1400.php) is
best driven by the powermust driver in NUT (Network UPS Tools), on an
RS232 cable. The USB connection does not seem to yield, use the serial
RS232 cable. This took me quite a while to find out, so I thought I
would share the experience.

fixed / floating point
I've noticed that the nb decoder uses floating point in several places
even when using FIXED_POINT. I don't have to deal with lost packets,
so I'm mainly interested in innov_gain and pgain in no transmission
mode (nb_celp.c around line 1272) and g and exci in vocoder mode
(around line 1557). Is there a reason that these places must use
floating point, or would it be possible to

Compiler Optimizations
is it safe to compile libspeex with -O3? I've changed all the asm's to
asm volatile, but I don't know if there's other problems O3 would
cause.

Raw Speex?
I would guess that the sampleenc and sampledec programs (I think
they're in the doc dir) would be closer to what you want.

Directory Application Context Issue
I have found out why I am having problems with the directory
application.
The problem is that the Directory application is not searching through
contexts properly.
Example:
extensions.conf
[default]
exten=>*,1,Directory(company)
exten=>556,1,Directory(default)
exten=>555,1,Voicemail2,u555
...
[company]
;Batman
exten=>401,1,Dial,Zap/5|15
exten=>401,2,Voicemail2,u401

Icecast Freelancer
Hi there,
I'm looking for a freelance Linux system administrator experienced with
Icecast to migrate and upgrade an existing setup from Google Cloud to
Hetzner Cloud. Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I didn't
find any info where to post jobs on https://icecast.org/faq/ ?
Kind regards,

Browsing across subnets - some more problems
Hi all,
I am still battling to get browsing across subnets to work.
I just need some clarification on some issues. I understand the
following things to be the case, please correct me if I am wrong:
- Machines on a subnet will periodically announce their existance by
broadcasting to everyone their identity
- Other machines will hear these broadcasts, and add the machines to
their browse lists.

Getting an app to run
Greetings,
I'm new to wine (and linux in general) but I've found my experience
with both to be very enjoyable and I'd like to convert over fully to
being a penguin. In order to do this though, I must have functional a
required app on my home network.
This program basically monitors my satellite internet usage and informs
my entire network how much remaining usage we have (there's

strange files appearing after file copy
Hello,
I just had something strange happen and could not find explanations in
the documentation, FAQs or mailing list.
The server is a Debian installation running Samba 2.2.3 (kernel 2.4.18
if interested). It has been recently upgraded from 2.0.x (I think x=6).
My smb.conf is at the bottom; the directory used is on the [public]
share.
The client runs Win2k (probably SP2).
I copied some files in

Have you looked at this? I've got an informal HOWTO if you'd like it.
