I'm new to SAMBA and am trying to install it on a Origin 200 running IRIX 6.4. I’ve downloaded and un-tarred 5 files: samba samba.idb samba.man samba.src samba.sw Now what do I do? I’m really lost. I am having problems with Samba on IRIX 6.5 authenticating via Active Directory. Installing the tardist of 3.0.21c did not give me kerberos/ldap/adc capabilities even though Kerberos and LDAP were prereq's. With OpenLDAP and Kerberos5 installed, my configure fails. I've recently upgraded our environment to OpenSSH-3.7.1p1 on Solaris, AIX and IRIX. I have had no luck when it comes to getting the IRIX environment to work. With sshd running on an IRIX server, I connect with any other version/OS ssh, watch the connection establish, get right up to the point where the shell should spawn and sshd terminates. Hello, for my SGI Indy with IRIX 5.3 I want to download the binary packages for Samba 1.9.18p10. But I couldn't! I use different mirrorsites without success. Only message "Waiting for reply ..." and nothing more. With the version for IRIX 6.x is the same but with "samba53.18p8.tardist" there are no problems! Any comments? Hartmut

Hi all ! I don't know what else to do but I absolutely can't get it to work !!! :( I've installed 2.2.8a on my SGI 6.5.17 workstation and all the tests I've done failed. I'm getting quite desperate. :( Ok. Point by point I'll try to explain what I did. - Installed the 2.2.8a successfully and started it successfully. - Logged in the samba (almost) successfully from the
