smbstatus getting a SIGBUS error
Somemore information regarding the smbstatus error.
The sigbus error is occuring where I noted below. I now have data
values to go along with the location. The SIGBUS generating bit is
"entry_scanner_p->e.pid" which looks to be in an unaccessable area of
memory. Looking back through the code, I find a couple of bizarities.
For example file_scanner_p->num_share_mode_entries

I want to create an object to use for the plot command
I'm using the TSA package (along with all prerequisites) to do some GARCH
work and for some reason, something which used to work for me has decided to
up and stop. The code is as follows, after loading the package:
"
gs <- garch.sim(alpha=c(1.9,0.1), beta=c(0.700001, -0.0800003, -0.016),rnd =
rnorm, n = 400, ntrans=500)

PANIC and delayed drive mapping?
Hiya!
Samba 2.0.7 on HP-UX 11.0.
When a user tries to map a drive, the smb.log shows the following:
NOTE: the stanza ending in PANIC repeats 3 times, snipped here for brevity

Win95/WinNT name mangling / case sensitivity
Hello,
could anyone give me a working configuration (only the 3 or 4 lines
required for the desired settings) for our Win95 / WinNT4.0-Clients.
Our samba server: 1.9.18p7
Our customers would drag and drop a file within the browsers from a local drive
(for example C:) to a SAMBA-connetced network drive *WITHOUT* changing anything
within the file name (length, case etc.).
I would be glad to get

SAMBA BUG: smbstatus 2.0.6 core dumps on Solaris 2.6 (SIGSEGV)
I am running Samba version 2.0.6 on Solaris 2.6. When I run smbstatus, it
coredumps. Here is some detailed information that may help in killing this
bug.
This is a run of smbstatus where it coredumps, and afterwards, a gdb
session.

This won't solve your problem, but I just ran some tests copying a large file from
NT to FreeBSD2.2.6 and back, w/o any sign of

Fwd: [Workaround] Allocation size has bad value on a MIPS based setup.
Hi
My setup is a MIPS32 Processor running a 2.6.8 Kernel. Current
version is Samba 3.0.27a but older and more recent versions were
tried. configure has been invoked as follow : ./configure --host=i686
--target=mips-linux-uclibc ...
I quickly figured out that I couldn,t retrieve files larger than 256K
from the server. The windows machine was bumping a "Not enough memory"
error message.

XTFEVD implementation in R
Is there a package in R for XTFEVD procedure (Pl?mper & Troeger)?
Also, are there any examples of Hausman-Taylor implementation in R?
I understand that it can be done using plm package but could not find
examples with actual data

Insufficient Disk Space
I'm looking at migrating a small Netware 3.12 server to a Linux box with
samba for a small office. They use a DOS program called `ACCPAC' to do
their accounting; both the program and it's data reside on different
exported volumes on the netware system. I set up a linux box (for
testing- deployment later, maybe) to make sure the program would run
with samba before going ahead and just

It was suggested that I post my question regarding a LLVM 3.4 performance
regression to this mailing list, rather than stackoverflow. So here is

UnoC function in survAUC for censoring-adjusted C-index
Hello,
I am having some trouble with the 'censoring-adjusted C-index' by Uno et al, in the package survAUC. The relevant function is UnoC.
The question has to do with what happens when I specify a time point t for the upper limit of the time range under consideration (we want to avoid using the right-end tail of the KM curve).

Help! Problem with Samba 2.0.5a + WinNT4.0 SP5 (process 7281 no longer exists)
Hi All! Help!
can anyone tell me what this message means? I'm running samba-2.0.5a. It
sort of works, I can mount a samba drive from WinNT and run programs stored
on the samba drive, but when I try and open an oracle form file on the samba
drive, form reports an error opening the file.

Help! problems with Arcserve. Can someone decrypt the logs ?
Hi everyone,
We use samba 2.0.4 and are very glad of it. However, recently I had to add a
backup facility on our network, so we plan to purchase Arcserve IT for NT,
in order to backup our servers. We are using mainly 3 Linux servers and 1 NT
server, which runs the backup service.
However, as Itried to add a simple share on the file server to enable
backup, later I encounter problems with
