Repair/Cleaup Maildir
After having fought an issue with Courier-imap on FC3 for a week (that is still unresolved), I decided to try Dovecot instead. So far, fingers crossed, the issue has not re-occured. Migrating from courier-imap/sqwebmail to Dovecot/Squirrelmail was reasonably painless but I now have an problem. Is there a utility available to cleanup/repair the maildir tree for each user ? Catch SIGINT from user in backend C++ code
Hi, I was wondering if anybody knew how to trap SIGINTs (ie Ctrl-C) in backend C++ code for R extensions? I'm writing a package that uses the GPU for some hefty matrix operations in a tightly coupled parallel algorithm implemented in CUDA. The problem is that once running, the C++ module cannot apparently be interrupted by a SIGINT, leaving the user sat waiting even if they realise

Starting win2k3 hvm on another host.
I am trying to get a vm running on a different host. It fails to start with the error below. Both hosts are running the same software CentOS 5.4 and Xen 3.3.1 any clues as to why it fails would be appreciated. mixed case usernames
I haven't found anything about this in the FAQ's... Despite having a translation from an all uppercase (or all lowercase) to the mixed case Unix username in the username map, the samba server (1.9.18p1) does not allow browsing from a Win95 client. If I change the username to all lowercase on the Unix server, then browsing works fine. Have I missed something? -- Phil Etheridge

username map not working
I still have not resolved this problem. Last time I reported it, I neglected to note the OS & version. Server is running Digital Unix 4.0B, samba 1.9.18p1 Problem is that a user's home directory only appears on a Win95 client under "Network Neighbourhood" when they have an all lowercase username on the server. Otherwise, user is prompted for a passwd and a bad password error

smbclient & printing on win2k box with HP Deskjet 560C (Drivers?) SMB 2.2.3a - Kernel 2.4.7, red hat 7.2
Hi LUs, I dont have much time at the moment to read tons of documentation. So, I would like to ask a hopefully easy to answer question. Samba is running alright with me, smbclient works fine, but I would like to print from my Linux box over LAN to a printer (HP 560C) connected to a win2k box. Because I can't afford a better or second printer & I also havent got enough room for it

producing a QQ plot.
Hello everyone I'm a beginner in Stats and R, I'm using R 2.10.1. I need to create a multivariate qq plot, there is 8 variable group with each has 55 number of input. AW: Workaround for pcifront issues
Thanks Anna, this was also quite interesting for me. Did you mean that I just have to eliminate the else branch or raise arround "All devices behind the uppermost PCI/PCI-X bridge must be co-assigned to the same guest." or do I have to eliminate more in order to prevent an FLR (whatever that is). For my board it''s definitely necessary to move PCI devices in different guests,

lmer and estimable
Hi everyone, I'm using lmer and estimable (from packages lme4 and gmodels respectively) and have the disconcerting happening that when I run exactly the same code, I get different results! In checking this out by running the code 50x, it seems to be that answers may be randomly deviating around those which I get from another stats package (GenStat, using the linear mixed models functionality

Dynamic registration to flakey for production system
Three days after launching our * system with 20 GS phones, I have finally had to give up on dynamic registration. The phones keep dissappearing from the sip peers list, even if just sitting idle. Either I spend half my time re-booting phones to get them registered, or the extension appears busy to outside callers and people get really irritated. Even setting the registration interval to 5

Samba to Dave 2.5
I'm having a problem with folders shared from Samba 2.0.5a dissappearing and reappearing on a Mac running Dave 2.5. I had the same problem with Dave 2.1 and hoped the upgrade to 2.5 would help. The 2 Samba servers are on a separate subnet on which they are the only machines. One Samba server is set as the local master browser and both use an NT server on the same subnet as the Mac as their

idmap LDAP branch never populates with Samba 3.4.1 - how do I debug ?
I've followed the instructions at http://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Ldapsam_Editposix which concerns how to setup idmap correctly with Samba > 3.0.25. I have a trusted domain which has been successfully established. However, no SID entries populate beneath ou=idmap and any logon to the trusted domain will result in: netr_LogonSamLogon: user SANDBOX\Administrator has user sid

winbind initialization: GetDC got invalid response type 21

file descriptor leak?
We are having problems with the latest Dovecot 1.0 (RC15) regarding file descriptors > 255 being handed off to fdopen() via crypt() via PAM(?). This is a problem on Solaris 10 due to the fact that the stdio library does not support file descriptors > 255 (in order to remain binary-compatibile with older binaries). Here are the messages we run into if we get too many (~250?) concurrent
