SAMBA and NT4 domain
I have replaced several NT servers with SAMBA on FreeBSD 4.7. The versions of SAMBA vary from 2.2.7a to 2.2.8. The SAMBA servers have been joined to the domain and show up as Windows NT 4.9 Server under Server Manager on NT. I am now down to two remaining NT4 servers that are domain controllers. I am experiencing two issues; NetBIOS resolution seems to have gotten messed up and the logs on the NT

My server is RH 5.2 and i use Samba 1.9.18p10 and the client use WFW 3.11 with tcp/ip protocols installed. The subnet and the IP Address is right but I still only telnet form WFW 3.11 to Linux...not the reverse. On Linux telnet is working. What shares are mounted on client ?
Is there anyway to ascertain what shares a client actually has mounted at a given time? I've got a number of WFW boxes connecting shared drives on my SCO-OSE3 box using SAMBA 1.9.16p5 (upgrading to latest version RSN). I've got some shell scripts on the Unix box which use escape sequences sent to the client telnet to start programs on the client side. Some of these programs assume

domain level authentication?
I'm trying to set up a samba server, such that 60 or so win 98 users can log into the linux box and be plopped into their respective home directories on it. I don't want them to be promted for passwords, I want the PDC, an NT box, to take care that in such a wy that I do not need a smbpasswd file. I know almost nothing about NT, but the server running works just fine, and will let people
