[Patch] upssched broken in version 2.6.4 with command with two arguments
Hi,
the last commit to upssched.c (Merge Coverity branch, r3555) broke
upssched with commands that have a second argument.
If a command with a second argument is used, "enc" in line 697 is not an
empty buffer and snprintfcat() just appends some stuff, i.e. the
following command
CANCEL onbatt online
becomes
onlineCANCEL "onbatt" "online"
and is then sent to the

Hi all together,
I'm using SAMBA-2.2.0 on SuSe Linux 7.2 and everything works fine except
any printig problems with the new "printer drivers download" feature.
After download from new printer drivers to the samba machine everything
works fine.
Always when i reboot my linux box i can?t install a printer driver on
my nt boxes because the printer has no available printer driver.

pacf
Dear list,
according to the documentation of acf{ts}
"the partial correlation coefficient is estimated by fitting
autoregressive models of successively higher orders up to lag.max. "
However, R seems to return the Yule-Walker estimates of the PACF by
default. You can check this using c(1:10) as the series: the YW
estimates are 0.7000000 and -0.1527035 for lags 1 and 2 . If the PACF

Hi,
it seems rsync's configure complains about sys/mode.h.
here's the relevant part from config.log. Any idea what should I do now
with it?
Thanks!

Problem shutting down Win7 Clients with net rpc
Hi everybody,
I used to shutdown our workstation pools with the net rpc command.
Something like this:
net rpc SHUTDOWN -t 300 -f -C "Nice closing message" -W MYDOMAIN -U
WORKSTATION_NAME\\administrator%localadminpasswd -S 192.168.7.49
Could not connect to server 192.168.7.49
Connection failed: NT_STATUS_BAD_NETWORK_NAME
This worked perfectly with Windows XP, but now all

Problems with paste and blank
Hi there,
I've got the following problem under Windows XP, R 2.5.1:
When I'm pasting some objects:
Stadtwerksname<-"Mannheim"
Laufwerk<-"C:\\"
paste(Laufwerk,Stadtwerksname,".csv")
I get the result:
[1] "C:\\ Mannheim .csv"
The problem's are the superfluous gaps/blanks between the three parts.
Is there a way to get rid off this

Samba 3.6.9 - Redundancy (HA/BDC/DRBD)
Hi everybody,
our university uses a Samba 3.6.9 server as PDC for a windows domain on
a single physical server (external LDAP on another server is used).
To get some redundancy up running a second physical machine was bought,
which is exactly the same as the one running.
Now I?m searching for the best way to get the job done.
The first thought was to build a HA-Cluster with Corosync/Pacemaker

Graph window is not available any more
Hi all,
I have currently been using the book Modern Applied Statistics with S from
Venables and Ripley. At chapter 6 on Linear Statistical models I wanted to
produce the plot as shown by "Figure 6.1" using Whiteside's data. xyplot
command seems not to work on my version of "R"(version 1.7.0) running on
different environments (Win XP, Win 98 and Win 2000). I then used the

[PATCH] Force mountd(8) to a specified port.
Hi all,
I have a requirement to run NFS read-only in an Internet-facing colocation
environment. I am not happy with packet filters alone around rpcbind, call
me paranoid, so I just spent the last few minutes cutting this patch.
As you are aware, RPC applications can be forced to listen on a known port
through the sin/sa argument to bindresvport[_sa](). Why several Linux
distributions have this

[LLVMdev] [GSoC] llvm-test
Hello,
My name is Ander MartÃnez and I'm interested on working to extend the
llvm test suite, but I have some doubts I'd like to solve before
applying. I have never used llvm but was thinking on studying it
during summer for some project I have in mind but then I saw you have
one project to extend the test suite so I thought I could learn it
while writing tests, but maybe you are expecting

PDC/BDC Problem
Hi all,
I'm rather new to samba and trying to deploy a PDC/BDC Setup for our company.
Got some books and the manpages here to help me :)
The config-files are attached at the end of this mail. Used Samba is 3.2.7-11.6
on a SLES11 system.
The PDC is running as ROLE_DOMAIN_PDC says testparm, the BDC as
ROLE_DOMAIN_BDC.
Both DCs use a LDAP (OpenLDAP 2.4.12-7) for user authentication.
The LDAP

Heh. I support the replacement of the stronger language, but I find
"hug", "hugged", and "hugging" to be very weird replacements. Can we
bikeshed this to "heck", "hecked", and
