Voicemail IMAP
I know some of this doesn't belong on this list, but I am just including it for problem history. I am trying to setup IMAP Voicemail with our email server. We are using a non-standards based groupware server called FirstClass. The server has some built in support for IMAP. My problem seems to be that the authuser flag is not supported. When I use mtest in the imap toolkit to connect to

TDM400P lockups (FXO)
Hey all - we have two TDM400P cards in an SMP Redhat9 box, with 4 FXO ports each running thel latest Asterisk CVS. Users connect to this to share POTS lines using analog phones connected to Sipura SPA-2000 boxes. All works reasonably well, except every day (or more) a line will get "locked up". No other way to describe it really -- the line just stops working, so if someone tries

asterisk & 3rd party vm
we are considering replacing our PBX w Asterisk but want to keep our voicemail, FirstClass Unified Messaging. I can't find docs on configuring Asterisk w 3rd party voicemail. Can do? (we're considering this because we're moving to a space that is not wired for voice or network & I'm fantasizing we can do both IP & VoIP w Wi-Fi...) Gregg Kaloust Kannon Communications

unusual text/mour/menu behaviours
hello, I'm using PlayOnLinux to manage my Wine installations. I am attempting to use FirstClass email client with wine on an Ubuntu 11.10 installation. The application runs well except for a few very annoying things: - when a window first opens, it doesn't interact with the mouse properly: 1) no matter where the window opens on the screen, menus will open in the top corner of the display

How to parse and eval a collection of items
Let's say I have, for some reason, a bunch of scalars (i.e. single-valued variables) and I want to merge them all into a single vector of values. Can someone recommend a better function, or simpler way, to do so than the following? Suppose my scalars' names are foo1, foo2, foo3, foo1high, foo2high, foo3lo2, etc. Then I can do: >ls(pat='foo')->thels

Re: unusual text/mour/menu behaviours
hello, As suggested, I have removed the POL installation and installed WINE 1.3.28 on an Ubuntu 11.10 installation. I continue to experience difficulties with how windows are rendered in WINE for the FirstClass mail application. The application runs well except for a few very annoying things: - when a window first opens, it doesn't interact with the mouse properly: 1) no matter where the

nls question
Just a quick question. Is there a way to easily specify factor levels in a function definition within nls? For example, I am trying to fit a 3 parameter, nonlinear Weibull function to tree height and I would like to have results by species (or down the road a bit, by plot). I am hoping there is someway to do it easily, similar to the "gas example" in the ANCOVA chapter in Modern

SVS tree lists
I know this is a long shot, but does anyone out there have code for converting a R-dataframe into a Stand Visualization System (SVS) tree list? It would save me a bit of time. I would be interested if anyone has FVS code as well. I will be working (reworking) NE-TWIGS equations to a regionwide dataset. Thanks in advance, Mike Mike R. gsummary
Could someone give me a hand with the format of the gsummary function? Basically, I have a large set of xyz coordinates generated by LiDAR data (>37 million points) and I am trying to derive various summary statistics on the z-coordinates by a grid cell. I wrote a function to do this by creating factors from the x- and y- coordinates and then using gsummary. However, I want the function to

Dead wood code
Is there a package, or does anyone have code they are willing to share, that would allow me to simulate sampling of dead wood pieces across an area? I am specifically looking for code to simulate the dead wood distribution as small line segments across an extent, and then I will "sample" the dead wood using different sampling techniques including line transects, fixed area plots, etc.
