smbclient connection problem from MVS to Windows suspect EBCDIC to ASCII conversion problem
Hi, I have reciently been attempting to connect an OS\390 system to a windows file server using the smbclient program that is part of the MVS port of samba. The problem I have encountered is this. When I try to connect from MVS to windows without a password I can connect with no problem at all. Files transfer fine and the encoding is fine. However the moment that i put a password on the

Question on openSSH and sending file to MVS file formats
Hello, I was looking for Damien Miller, Markus Friedl or Theo de Raadt to possibly answer an SFTP question. I am having trouble locating an example and think the task can not be done. Do you have an example of an unix host machine initiating a file transfer to an ibm z/OS and create a mvs file? I have examples from appendix A of the IBM Ported Tools for z?OS Users Guide that shows how

[LLVMdev] LLVM loop vectorizer
Hi Alex, This has been very recently fixed by Hal. Re: [Valgrind-developers] [PATCH 1/4] Useful messages for sys/domctl interface_version mismatch.
Please: file a bug report and attach the patches to it. Else they are pretty much guaranteed to wind up at /dev/null, because nobody tracks patches on the list AFAIK. Immediate operand for vector instructions

Yeah, you actually want to use "imm": list<dag> Pattern = [(int_repeat_x_times imm:$imm)];

[LLVMdev] LLVM loop vectorizer
Hi Alex, I think the changes you want are actually not vectorizer related. Vectorizer just uses data provided by other passes. What you probably might want is to look into routine Loop::getStartLoc() (see lib/Analysis/LoopInfo.cpp). If you find a way to improve it, patches are welcome:) Thanks, Michael > On Jun 3, 2016, at 6:13 PM, Alex Susu <alex.e.susu at gmail.com> wrote: >

[LLVMdev] LLVM loop vectorizer
Hi Alex, I'm not aware of efforts on loop coalescing in LLVM, but probably polly can do something like this. Also, one related thought: it might be worth making it a separate pass, not a part of loop vectorizer. LLVM already has several 'utility' passes (e.g. loop rotation), which primarily aims at enabling other passes. Thanks, Michael > On Feb 15, 2016, at 6:44 AM, RCU

X11-Forwarding for Reliant UNIX (formerly SINIX)
Hi ! To all: A Happy New Year ! During the last week I did some investigations why the X11 forwarding on Reliant UNIX Versions 5.44 and 5.45 does not work out of the box with OpenSSH-2.3.0p1. The result fo my investigation is: 1. The OpenSSH sshd opens a TCP/IP-port 6000 + display number and listens to it. This is fine and works with Solaris 7, DEC-OSF 4.0D, Linux and FreeBSD-4.2 but not

patch for rpm spec problem
The following is a description of an rpm-based rsync build problem on my Redhat 7.1 system, and a patch that fixed the spec file. The problem occurred on several recent rsync releases, including 2.5.7: rpm -tb --define '_topdir /home/user/tmp/rpmbuild' rsync-2.5.7.tar.gz ALMOST works; it uses the spec file in lsb, not redhat/7.1. This spec file fails due to bad date format in one line,

Addressing TableGen's error "Ran out of lanemask bits" in order to use more than 32 subregisters per register
You seem to be using old LLVM sources---changing this many files for supporting a different width LaneBitmask is no longer necessary. Also, boost is not a current requirement for building LLVM and it's unlikely that requiring it for that purpose alone is justified. -Krzysztof On 7/28/2017 6:30 AM, Alex Susu via llvm-dev wrote: > Hello. > I come back to this older thread.

Addressing TableGen's error "Ran out of lanemask bits" in order to use more than 32 subregisters per register
Hello. I come back to this older thread. As I've said before, I managed to patch the various files from the back end related to lanemask in order to support at most 1024 vector lanes. For this I am using a 1024-bit long lanemask of type uint1024_t from boost::multiprecision, instead of uint32_t. For this I changed the following LLVM source files:

[LLVMdev] Reflexions about a new HDL language
If you're designing a new high-level HDL, then it would be a good idea to familiarise yourself with the state of the art in this area (e.g. Bluespec System Verilog, Symbolics Processor Designer, and similar tools). Starting from comparisons to VHDL and Verilog is like designing a new high-level programming language today that is designed to be a better high-level programming language that is

help with for loop to test for a condition in a vector
I want my for loop to test for the presence of a term in a vector and return a value to a new vector. I'm not writing it correctly though.
