HELP with browsing and popups (Cont: Get popups)
I've got plenty of messages about "message command". Please don't talk me about
"message command". I have "message command" in my smb.conf. It seems to be
another problem: I can browse all groups in local network but anyone can't
find me in "Network neighboorhood" in Widows 9x.
I can receive popups only from boxes with samba (Linux boxes) and

Before start hacking with configure.in, I would like to see if anybody else

Problem with sending messages (smbclient -M ...)
Hi
I use messages (net send...., smbclient -M ....) to let a server dial to
my provider, or to let him fetch my mial. This worked until I switched to
1.9.18p3. My server is named FGP, my group FGP_GROUP. One of the
nt-clients
is named SAUSCHNELL - and one of the users on SAUSCHNELL is names fgp -
like the server. Since I use 1.9.18p3 all the messages sent to FGP from a
NT-computer are actually

Freebsd + NT/Nt-Client am Linux-Server
Pam_SMB allows Linux clients to validate
their passwords against an NT PDC, so the
only thing you have to do is set up the
accounts on the Linux side with an '*'
in the /etc/passwd entry. This can be
done using a list of users:
#!/bin/bash
for i in `cat myuserlist`; do
/usr/sbin/adduser -p '*' $i
with various other command line options,
such as "-s

Alternatives to cman+clvmd ?
I currently have a few CentOS 5.2 based Xen clusters at different sites.
These are built around a group of 3 or more Xen nodes (blades) and
some sort of shared storage (FC or iSCSI) carved up by LVM and allocated
to the domUs.
I am "managing" the shared storage (from the dom0 perspective) using
cman+clvmd, so that changes to the LVs (rename/resize/create/delete/etc)

SMB across subnets
Hi
THis look like NT uses the dns-server to resolv netbios names (can be
configured in the network properties). Try disabling that, and pray that
nt, win95 und unix-servers find each other - if all the computers show up
in all the network neighbor hood's , you won. Otherwise - well, contact
microsoft - they invented wins, not-working-network-neighbor hood's and
things like this...

Samba as a Proxy
Hi
I think this should be possible.
If the linux-server doesn't have to be a PDC, you can simply use samba
with the parameter
security = server
password server = <real PDC>
in your smb.conf
If the linux-server has to be a PDC; you have to use the samba-NTDOM
version. You can obtain it only via public CVS from samba.anu.edu.au.

Browsing with 1.9.18p7 and WfW 3.11
Hi
We are using a Debian 1.3.1 server (two Ethernet-Cards) with 18
Clients. The Clients remote-boot from the server using
mars_nwe(Novell-Server emulation). Under Windows (WfW 3.11) the Clients
user the Microsoft 32-bit Tcp-Stack to access the samba-server( 1.9.18p7).
The problem is that the clients can't see the samba-server in their
browse-lists, nor can they access the server with net

Cannot compile 3.0.x on Solaris 9
Dear list,
is there anyone who successfully compiled a Samba 3.0.X on a Solaris 9 box?
I tried severl versions of Samba 3.0.* on five rather differently
configured Solaris 9 boxes (Sparc) and ALWAYS get a build error
on dynconfig.c
Sometimes it seems to be a missing ldap-preprocessor define (which is
protested by the compiler although I configured --with-ldap=NO),
sometimes it is a header file

For RMA method, I used the following commend: est<-rma(affydata,
subset=pm_filter). Could any help me; how do I do this by using MAS5
method?

Problems running apps from Samba 2.0.0 share on NT 4.0
Ever since I upgraded from Samba 1.9.18 to 2.0.0, I've been
having problems with applications started from a Samba share dying
silently, or with an Illegal Instruction message, on NT 4.0
Workstation. Since the only configuration change has been the Samba
upgrade, that would seem to be the orgin of the problem. Below is my
smb.conf file, in case I have something configured (or not configured)

[Flac-users] missing vorbiscomment.h
Hi,
I guess you already know this, but src/plugin_common/vorbiscomment.h
is missing from the 1.0.4beta tarball. The best thing would be to
release a new beta ASAP, thanks.

Problems with AGI and existing channel
Hi,
"Asterisk 1.8.10.0-1digium1~squeeze built by pbuilder @ nighthawk on a x86_64 running Linux on 2012-03-08 23:05:09 UTC"
We have some problem when running a AGI script (build with PHP), existing channels (all of them) gets a "hickup" and then continues.
We are using AGI to lookup incoming calls in directory.
It is kinda annoying, and I don't understand how it can be
