How can we set up the policy working for different users (belonging to diffe rent groups) on the same win98 machine? Win98 looks up the netlogon share on our Samba server in security level = us er, domain logons = yes. It parses the config.pol file, but the only group policy defined that applie s to ANY user logging on is the one for Users group I added in Policy Editor .. eirvine

All, The SAMBA version 3.0.21b expired password pam_winbind.so section perhaps might still have an issue. It seems to just be in some kind of loop and never completes the section in pam_winbind.c of pam_sm_chauthtok. I have a FTP server behind my firewall. Thanks to Tom it works. Next I would like protect the username and password. With out a firewall. I would just create a SSH user on the firewall and connect. I think the easiest way is to do this is to forward port 22 to my ftp server. Is there a way to have the firewall handle the ssh session and forward the rest of the packet to the ftp server. This
