FFA - Asterisk 1.6.2.6
Hi, I have a 1.6.2.6 fax installation with a FFA license which seems to be installed correctly (in fax show stats, I see that I have 1 Digium G.711 licensed channel, and 1 Digium T.38 licensed channel). When trying to call my business line with a fax machine, it looks like it's ringing to my asterisk box, then transfer the call to my extension. In the logs, I see (after the line where

How to get nmbd to work?
I have NEVER been able to get nmbd to work in anything even remotely approximating a usable fashion. All I want it to do is DNS lookups. I can't even get it to do that reliably. It looks in some cases like it isn't even sending a response back to the querying clients. When I do a request that fails, I get this: --- nmb packet from 192.55.114.4(3175) header: id=8172 opcode=Query(0)

1.6 and asterisk gui
Hello, I'm new to asterisk and this list. The ISO download appears to have 1.6 with the FreePBX GUI but I am looking to use the Asterisk GUI. The only option for the Asterisk GUI is to use 1.4. Is it as simple as installing 1.6 only then using the yum repository to install the Asterisk GUI? If so, what packages are needed? Thanks!

Hello every body, I am quite a new user of R so I beg your pardon for this naive question and the lake of syntax with wich I ask it: I have a data frames like this: cola colb 1 c 1 i 1 i 1 c 2 i 2 c 2 c 2 i 2 i ... 10000 I would like ,for each level of cola and for x in colb: -if colb[x]=="i" and colb[x-1] does not exist (first row in dataframes), then replace colb[x] by

Got SIP response 400 "Bad Request" back from
Hi, I have an Asterisk 1.8.2.3 installed (public IP) with a peer (Polycom IP601) installed behind NAT. When the peer makes a call, it's working without any problem. But when a call is coming back, it ends up with a Got SIP response 400 "Bad Request" back from xx.xx.xx.xx where the xx.xx.xx.xx is the public IP of the peer. And the call drops to the voicemail (congestion at peer

Hi all. YAP (Yet Another Problem). I recently posted about the correct way to deal with encrypted vs nonencrypted passwords. I've gotten that to work, but I don't think its correct. So I'd still appreciate any ideas. Now my problem is I can browse the list of shares, but can't use any of them. This is NT4, Linux 2.0.31-pre9, samba-1.9.17p1. No SP3 patch applied. I

Strange behaviour when joining the domain
Just installed a new SAMBA-LDAP-PDC server on my network. I followed the Linux Samba-OpenLDAP Howto, revision 20060710, so I would assume my setup is correct. My LDAP setup is a master/slave setup. The master is on a remote server, and the lave is local. When joining the domain (WinXP), it sometimes takes three-four times to be able to reach the domain(user administrator with uidNumber to

unix gethostbyname for WINS
I know this has been discussed; but I can't seems to find the answer on the digest server. Can/How do I provide WINS name resolution for unix machine names ? We are using WINS on the PC side and /etc/hosts on the unix side. I would like to have a unix machine respond to WINS queries when it finds the requested name in it's host file. I have experimented with 'wins proxy',

AW: Smbclient bind to IP
I think, it's a good idea to control the binds of the smbclient as it's possible on smbd. SAMBA digest 1850 (DNS name and netbios name differ)
The default setting for Win95 are to do DNS before WINS. You can try to change this order to see if this fixes the problem. I clipped the following from the Technet article - Q139270. It would be easier to disable DNS on a Win95 client to see if the name resolution order is causing your problem; then do all this happy stuff... ------------------------------------ cut

Smbclient bind to IP
We are running a Sequent unix database server that uses smbclient to print through the NT servers. Our network has mulitple sites connected via frame relay. Now the problem; we have been attempting to tune the network to improve database response. And would like to have the smbclient bind to a second IP address on our Sequent box so we can prioritize traffic based upon the source IP

text() with large cex parameter crashes X11() (PR#553)
Trying to use text() with very large cex parameter crashes R when using the X11() device X11() plot(1,1,type="n") text(1,1,"foo", cex=10) This also crashes R points(1,1,pch="A", cex=10) presumably because we are trying to load a font that doesn't exist, but I haven't looked into it. defunct smbd processes on SGI
Hello We are running samba on SGI/SUN/HP fileservers. We saw a problem on the SGI fileservers. After a while a lot of defunct smbd deamons were hanging and occupying the slots in the process table. We saw the problem with IRIX 5.2 and samba 1.9.16p11 and IRIX 6.2 and samba 1.9.17.p4 . Has anybody seen this problem before? This is a serious problem, because the smbd daemons are filling the

Dissapearing samba servers
Hi I've seen a couple of people post this problem, but I've never seen an answer, and now it's happenning to me. I run Solaris 2.5.1, and samba-1.9.17p1. Every so often a pc can look in the network neighborhood and the samba server just isn't there, though you can still map a network drive by using a UNC pathway: \\server\share so the share is still out there but the server

Connecting to samba-1.9.17p4 as non-administrator
I have a Win95 machine that I am trying to connect to a Samba share. When I log in as administrator, I can connect to any and all samba shares just fine. When I log onto the PC as a normal user, it asks for a password and rejects them all. The logs say "server xyz rejected password" for each of these attempts. This server has SP3 and I *do* have the encryption stuff compiled in. I
