Dial plan doesn't seem to save properly
When I first to the "add extension" the "show dialplan" has the lines that say "SIP/" but after I do a "save dialplan" and a "stop gracfully" and restart the lines with "SIP/" are gone. ************************ "Show dialplan" before: ************************ asterisk01*CLI> [ Context 'default' created by

T1 - A little guidance needed to get started, What order to do zaptel, zapata...
I have about a dozen SIP phones up and working, now I want to connect the asterisk box to our Fujitsu 9600 PBX. I currently have two dial-up servers conencted to the Fujitsu PBX that I built with mgetty/pppd and have the lines provisioned the same way as those dial-up server, ESF, B8ZS, and E&M wink start, so I have confidence in the guys who set up the PBX. I've built a loop back plug

chan_zap.c - echo cancelation getting in the way of dialing????
It seems consistant after dialing dozens of times that the call that doesn't go through is the one the gets the log message "No echocancellation requested" (chan_zap.c) and the "Scheduleing timer" (channel.c) in the middle of receiving the DTMF tones. I'm now using the T400P card last week very simular problems the the T100P (although I think I was actually loosing

TE410P lights don't blink read after the module is loaded
Greetings, According to the FAQ "When you load the module and have no circuit/channel bank the LED's should flash red" I get the "knight rider" lights before the module loads, but after the modules are loaded I don't get any lights, other equipment plugged in or not. The card has been on my shelf a while so I wonder if it needs a firmware upgrade ? Can the cards

Winpopup Broadcast? (smbclient -M to workgroup)?
Has anyone modified smbclient to send winpopup-style message broadcasts to Win95 workgroups/WinNT domains? If not, any tips on how I could go about doing it? What section of the SMB RFCs (1001, 1002, 1003) would be likely to talk about it? (I'm not sufficiently versed in low-level SMB, so most of the RFCs are still Greek to me. So if someone kindly points me in the right direction I think

smbclient -M --> ERRmsgoff?
Hi, I've been a Samba user/admin for about a decade with relative success, but now I'm stumped. I'm hoping someone might be a solution to this, or at least a solid answer. I'm looking to send out winpopup messages to our XP clients when one of our Samba fileshare servers needs to be rebooted. So I'm trying to sending the messages from a Linux/Samba server, which is not a

FW: AIX and libldap.a
In the configure file I find: --with-ldap LDAP support (default yes) What if I turn ldap off in that statement... What would the repercussions be? All I'm interested in doing is simple file sharing. By the way, what's the opposite of --with? --without? Thanks -----Original Message----- From: Doug VanLeuven [mailto:roamdad@sonic.net] Sent: Tuesday, April 12, 2005 5:57 PM To: Roy

IAX2 help needed...
I run a phone in a remote office using the IAX2 protocol. It mostly works fine; except that every 5 mins it loses connection with Asterisk, before reconnecting 30 seconds later; rinse & repeat. Using the IAX2 debugging, I'm seeing this a lot: Tx-Frame Retry[000] -- OSeqno: 000 ISeqno: 000 Type: IAX Subclass: POKE Timestamp: 00018ms SCall: 04050 DCall: 00000

Revised smb-wall (Was: smbclient -M --> ERRmsgoff?)
I've gotten smb-wall to work with Samba v3. If there's a better way, please let me know. [PATCH] `smbclient -M' ignores `-p port'
Peter: Thanks! It now works fine on Solaris 2.6. Now I just need to remember how to manipulate source RPMs so I can fix the Linux (RedHat 6.x) version. :-) pete > From peter@cadcamlab.org Sun Jul 16 16:41:17 2000 > Cc: <samba@samba.org> > Subject: [PATCH] `smbclient -M' ignores `-p port' > > [Pete Peterson <petersonp@genrad.com>] > > It appears

usbhid-ups must use '-u root'
Hi, Self-reply ftw, is it something to do with the permissions of the device that is created when the UPS is plugged in? I remember that Debian does have a pretty strict permissions structure, so do I have to fiddle the permissions of something in /dev? I'll try updating nut-server to version 2.6.4-2.3+deb7u1 in wheezy backports and report back - initial attempt to install from wheezy

Eaton Powerware 5110 - some stats not reported
Run the driver with -DDDDD and see what variables it picks up. I have noted that with the Prestige 9 in bcmxcp, some variables are not consistent within models, and had to do some gentle remapping to get things to work correctly. - Tim On 02/12/2014 06:46 PM, Greg Vickers wrote: > Hi all, > > I've hooked up an Eaton Powerware 5110 to Ubuntu 13.10 server, and > configured nut

Asterisk sharing a line with POTS handsets: how to interoperate cleanly?
I now have an OpenVox A400P and it is working well. Thanks to Ade Vickers for the recommendation, which I second. However, I need to make a slow transition between a conventional multiple-extension setup and a full VoIP network on these premises. So at the moment the Asterisk box shares the PSTN connection with several conventional analogue handsets. The desired result for an incoming call is
