Please help: Compiling/configuring OpenSSH on SunOS 5.5.1 with AFS
Hello *, i have some problems to compile/configure OpenSSH on SunOS 5.5.1 with AFS. See the attachment for the compile environment. The programs compile fine and token passing is without problems. Unfortunately it is not possible to login without a valid token (`Permission denied.'). There is following message in the syslog: Kerberos v4 TGT for ... unverifiable: Principal unknown

For me as a beginner a cookbook would be welcome. so many great code examples are posted into the help list, but finding these is quite difficult. I think it comes all down to the problem who is compiling / contributing and can judge what should go in. "guest ok = no" but guest user is used
I'm using version 2.2.7a. In smb.conf there is: in [global] security = USER guest ok = No guest account = nobody There is not "guest ok" in [printers]. Now I find print jobs which are supplied as user "nobody" to the UNIX printing system, although the variable %U is set to the real user name. What is wrong here ? Claude

1.9.18p6 release.
Hi all, Over the weekend (isn't it always :-), someone on the BugTraq list posted an analysis (not exploit code) of a potential buffer overrun in Samba, that has been present in all versions (including 1.9.18p5). As Andrew Tridgell was working over the weekend he quickly produced a fix for this (it was a problem with code using sprintf) and released it as 1.9.18p6 on Sunday, May 11th.

preventing automatic reboot
Hello, I'd like to prevent my servers from rebooting when power comes back after a power failure. With powerchute (which I used before), there is an "automatic reboot" parameter. Is there an equivalent with nut ? Regards -- Frantz de Germain Web : http://www.info.univ-angers.fr/pub/frantz Membre de la Soci?t? d'Astronomie de Nantes : http://www.san-fr.com/

One thing to rule out is that there is a clock difference of greater than 5 minutes between Samba Domain Member and the DCs. Make sure that you Samba Domain Member clock has approximately the same time as the DC. You can do net time set -S dcname/dcip. -Marc > -----Original Message----- > From: joysn@gmx.net [mailto:joysn@gmx.net] > Sent: Tuesday, February 01, 2005 2:19 PM > To:

Changing self test date
Hello, does any one know how to change the date of the self tests on APC UPSes ? I'd like to be able to choose the day and the hour so that it happens at office hours, in case of any problem... I've tried to do this by launching a test at a convenient time, but the self tests still occurs at the previous date and hour :-( Regards. -- Frantz de Germain D?partement Informatique UFR
