My whole problem as far as samba was concerned was not compiling with DES support *and* that I did compile with FAST_SHARE_MODES. One clue was this in the samba.log. file. The problem is that I cannot modify any of the printer settings (e.g. Location, etc. and of course the driver to use). I've successfully uploaded the correct driver with the APW in the print$ share.
