[PATCH] Even on Debian, the package containing the diff binary it has been diffutils for two years.
There had been a virtual package "diff" that depended on diffutils, but that's gone in wheezy/sid, too.

migrate ext3 to ext4
Hi all,
I issued the commands on a single disk system:
with two partitions / is linux sda1 and /home is sda3
yum -y update
yum -y install e4fsprogs
reboot
umount /home
tune2fs -O extents,uninit_bg,dir_index /dev/sda3
e2fsck -yfDC0 /dev/sda3
That worked just fine.
I then had a different system that is software raid.
where / is linux and md0 and /home is md1
yum -y update
yum -y

How can I change exit on error behaviour in remote control mode ?
Hi, all:
In remote control mode of guestfish, the server will normally exit if there is an error in a command.
guestfish man page said if we prefix a command with a - character, then that command will not cause guestfish to exit,
but this doesn't work in remote control mode, seems the prefixal '-' in sub-command won't be handled by guestfish.
--------------
$ eval `guestfish

The exit code makes user confused while using '-' prefixed subcommands
guestfish returns 0 if the commands completed without error, or 1 if there was an error.
But the rule break when we use '-' prefix subcommands:
------------------------------------
$ guestfish <<\EOF
> blabla
> EOF
blabla: unknown command
$ echo $?
1
$ guestfish <<\EOF
-blabla
EOF
blabla: unknown command
$ echo $?
0
------------------------------------
I think it should

11TB ext4 filesystem - filesystem alternatives?
Hi All.
I have a CentOS server:
CentOS 5.6 x86_64
2.6.18-238.12.1.el5.centos.plus
e4fsprogs-1.41.12-2.el5.x86_64
which has a 11TB ext4 filesystem. I have problems with running fsck on it
and would like to change the filesystem because I do not like the
possibility of running long fsck on it, it's a production machine. Also I
have some problems with running fsck (not enough RAM, problem with

RHEL 5.4 Beta Package Changes
it's strange since this kernel don't have kvm support, qemu or qemu-kvm
or kvm package is not added. even though it was said that 5.4 will
support kvm?:-(

[PATCH] Remove multiple hacks that only apply to RHEL 5.
We don't support RHEL 5 upstream (see the 'oldlinux' branch for a
version that works with RHEL 5). Therefore remove a bunch of hacks
that were only needed on RHEL 5.

Ubuntu 11.04 shutdown Problem
I am using old Xen Rpms which comes with RHEL 5.5 .
xen-3.0.3-105.el5.
I am running Ubuntu 11.04 Full Virt on this. But after a gap of 2 or 3 days
this VM gets shutdown automatically.
I have checked the logs there is nothing suspicious.. What can be reason
for it..??
Any one has faced same problem??

[PATCH] appliance: Don't rebuild the appliance every time configure runs
Whenever config.status / configure runs it touches appliance/make.sh
(even if the file hasn't changed) and that causes the appliance to be
rebuilt completely.
This patch breaks that dependency because building the appliance is
time-consuming (since dracut was added) so we should try not to build
it each time.

[PATCH] appliance: Special case handling for libbfd in the supermin appliance.
This patch isn't very elegant, but it should be a conservative
change that has the least chance of breaking something else.
