Biobass, SAGx, and Jonckheere-Terpstra test
Hi list, I tried to load the package SAGx and failed because it complains it's looking for the Biobass which is not there. Then I looked up the package list and Biobass is not found. I'm trying to run the Jonckheere-Terpstra test and from what I see in the R archive, SAGx is the only place it's been implemented. > library(SAGx) Loading required package: multtest Loading required

Beginners Question: Make nlm work
Hello, I'm new to this and am trying to teach myself some R by plotting biological data. The growth curve in question is supposed to be fitted to the Verhulst equation, which may be transcribed as follows: f(x)=a/(1+((a-0.008)/0.008)*exp(-(b*x))) - for a known population density (0.008) at t(0). I am trying to rework the example from "An Introduction to R" (p. 72) for my case and

rsyncd + scripting
Hey all, Like a lot of folks, I use rsync to pull content out to production web servers. Tastes great, less filling. Here's what I'd like to be able to do: Sometimes a web tree is not ready to sync, for whatever reason. I have many modules available, so stopping ryncd is not an option. I'd like to be able to tell rsync in daemon mode "this particular module is not available at

Extract Element of String with R's Regex
Hi, I have this string, in which I want to extract some of it's element: > x <- "Best-K Gene 11340 211952_at RANBP5 Noc= 3 - 2 LL= -963.669 -965.35" yielding this array [1] "211952_at" "RANBP5" "2" In Perl we would do it this way: __BEGIN__ my @needed =(); my $str = "Best-K Gene 11340 211952_at RANBP5 Noc= 3 - 2 LL= -963.669

[webrat] click link by title doesn''t work
Webrat 0.4.2 doesn''t seem to allow you to click links by title. Am I missing something stupid?
