Re: Artrage 3.5.4 on Ubuntu 11.10
I've posted a question (http://www2.ambientdesign.com/forums/showthread.php?p=389042#post389042) at ArtRage forums regarding this issue. So, it seems that starting and closing AR3 works normally, except in one case: if the window is maximized and you close AR3 while it's still maximized. In this case, next start of AR3 will result in application running, but not showing on screen or panel.

Problems running Uru
I was able to install both Myst V as well as URU: Complete Chronicles. I had to install a few DLLs but other than that, it went pretty smoothly. I'm able to run Uru.exe using wine. It launches, and a menu screen appears. Console output at this point is: Code: wine ~/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files\ \(x86\)/Ubi\ Soft/Cyan\ Worlds/Myst\ Uru\ Complete\ Chronicles/Uru.exe

Absolutely. I've just created a new entry (http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=25122) considering AR3 v.3.5.4, which contains a note about this issue.

Multibuffer switching in 1.3.32
Congratulations on getting this going. However, it still needs some tuning. I am running SimCity 4 Rush Hour (fully updated) in hardware mode on Ubuntu 11.10 with a wide screen setup. The game loads and runs, or rather walks in hardware operations mode. The frame rate is far too slow, and the only thing I see different is the multibuffer warning is missing from the console log. FYI here is my

Running the application ArtRage 2.11 which requires msvcr80.dll pops up the following error message : Runtime Error Program C:/...../Artrage.exe An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly. Black (transparent?) Screen - wine 1.3.34
Hi, I'm having some issues with multiple games running under Wine, namely the GoG versions of Age of Wonder and Baldur's Gate. Both of these are listed on WineHQ as compatible, but I'm not having the same luck. If Compiz is running when I start the game, I get a black screen, but the game itself is obviously working, as the game music is playing and I can hear menu buttons pressed

Fallout 2 quits at the "Please Stand By" screen.
I am reposting this topic because I really need a solution to this problem. I'm using Wine 1.3.37 (waiting for the new 1.4 binaries to be released), NVIDIA. I'm sorry for bumping posts, and I won't do it again unless there is just reason. Here is what I get when running it in the terminal. Code: fixme:win:EnumDisplayDevicesW ((null),0,0x32f07c,0x00000000), stub!

Witcher 2 on Steam
Hello, Can anyone run the Witcher 2 Steam version on linux? I can install the game, but I'm having problems with Steam trying to install vcrun2010. I got past the error by replacing the vcredits package in "/steamapps/common/witcher2/redist" with a random executable file and renamed it to "vcredist_x86.exe" - so when Steam runs that file and the file runs and exits without

Rise of Legends video problems
I'm running WINE 1.3.33 (on Ubuntu 10.10 64bit) I've installed the Rise of Legends retail version and that runs fine. The game starts, gives a warning about AGP Texture Acceleration not being enabled, and then ends up with a TINY version of the game screen in the upper left corner of the screen. I can actually almost see the dialogs in the game etc, and when I tried the demo version of
