Pulse audo in 1.3.25+
So I used to use the winepulse patch for wine. (Yes I like pulse). But since 1.3.25+ uses mmdevapi for audio, that patch no longer works. That author points to a wine multimedia git, however, after installing that I have no more sound in any wine application, and the winecfg test audio says audio failed. How do I get this new sound server working in wine? -- Sincerely, MacNean C. Tyrrell

No sound in World of Warcraft - intermittant.
At first I thought it was due to running Mangler simultaneously, but recently we've had no sound in World of Warcraft. One night when I was setting up to raid that night, I started WoW, and sound worked fine. I then quit WoW, started Mangler, started WoW, had sound in the first but not the second. When WoW started this dialogue box popped up saying that a change in hardware had been detected

[1.3.20] Mouse stuttering issue in World of Warcraft
I just installed 1.3.20 from the PPA on my Ubuntu 11.04 64-bit installation. One of the new features is the "Option to clip the mouse inside fullscreen windows". I wonder if this is related to the problem that has now cropped up since 1.3.19. In World of Warcraft when I move my mouse the position resets at constant intervals (~ 2 seconds). (When moving the mouse ever two seconds the

Can't create folders in .wine/drive_c/users/public/App Data/...
OK, so I don't know what's going on. (even with tinyproxy/firehol off the following occurs). Unless wine is run by root, when WoW is first loaded and trying to login, WoW creates a Cache folder and a bunch of folders under cache for login purposes. The Cache folder exists in: <wine profile dir>/drive_c/users/Public/Applicatoin data/Blizzard Entertainment/Battle.net. Now it can

Problems with starting World of Warcraft under Ubuntu 10.04
Hey everyone, I recently had to reset my whole computer and I thought, I can finally get rid of Windows and just use Ubuntu. But now, I have problems starting World of Warcraft under Wine, which should actually work fine! I have rendering activated, but when I start WOW with this: Code: :~/Wine/World of Warcraft$ wine Wow.exe -opengl I get the error: Code: err:module:attach_process_dlls

IE7
Ok I got IE7 working, mainly because of Steam, but I wanted to see if I could get flash working, aparently activex controls won't install correctly. Is there a way to fix this? (i've tried Winetricks for flash but it tells me the .exe hash doesn't match or something). Anyways, just curious, not to use ie in linux but mainly to get flash working since steam seems to use IE for

WoW/RealID
Just trying to determine if anyone else using Wine + WoW + RealID friends is experiencing the same problem, so I can determine if it's a router/internet/wow/linux(wine) issue. All my realID friends show location unknown (regular toon friends properly show the location). Also, battle.net looses connection with realid and it takes a wow restart to resolve. Any input would be great. --

Nothing loads in wine?
I thought that I would be able to use Wine to play TF2 in Fedora 11, so I used this guide to install steam: http://fedorasolved.org/gaming-solutions/installing-steam-using-wine Steam appeared to be working fine, so I downloaded some games (TF2 and CS:S), When they were done downloading, I tried to play one, and the "Preparing to launch TF2" box came up. So I waited for a few seconds and

SegFault with World of Warcraft
Hello! A rather new wine user here. I'm running a 64bit ArchLinux and have installed wine and practically all 32bit libs, so as far as I know, I shouldn't have a problem there. I'm trying to play World of Warcraft, but when starting the game up, it complains about Segmentation Fault and something about the LD_LIBRARY_PATH.http://pastebin.com/m7d89e8d4 There is the output when

SOLVED: World of Warcraft d3d crash and rendring problems
Hi wine people, with some help from the Nvidia forum I managed to solve a problem with World of Warcraft 4.x.x that I suspect is directX / Wine related: Enabling -d3d9 and -d3d11 would cause the below mentioned problem with Wine 1.2.2, while it would crash World of Warcraft program under Wine 1.3.15 (Ubuntu 11.04 debs), while OpenGL runs perfectly (30-60 fps with all opengl settings on ultra):

World of Warcraft on Linux Mint or Ubuntu, a doubt
Hi everyone I used to have Linux Mint 8 Helena and World of Warcraft patch 3.2.x, like less than a year ago I play on private servers (just because there's no way of payment for blizzard servers from Peru), and i had a bad experience with wine 1.0 (or 1.1.33, i can't remember - the thing is that wine 1.2 wasn't released) My FPS were like 19-20 when in windows it goes at 60-65, in

Mouse cursor not visible in World of Warcraft 3.0.9
I'm running Linux Mint 6 "Felicia" and Wine 1.1.18, and I'm trying to get World of Warcraft Wrath of the Lich King working. I was able to install everything and get it running, but after the intro movie, the mouse cursor is completely invisible. It's still there, as I can mouse over buttons and click them, but I have no idea where the cursor actually is. Every so often,

Problem with World of Warcraft
I am having great trouble running World of Warcraft, after it has been installed. I copied over all the CD/DVD contents for both WoW and WoW:TBC on to my HDD and installed it, then patched it with Wine without a hitch. However, now when I go to run the game I get the following errors in the console: Code: mothermayi at mmi-desktop:~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/World of Warcraft$ wine WoW.exe

Ubuntu: World of Warcraft 3.3.5a OpenGL and Intel GMA issue
ok, I'll get straight to the point: I'm trying to run World of Warcraft (Version 3.3.5 Build 12340) and I have an Intel GMA 4500MHD Integrated chipset, and I can login just fine, but when it tries to render a character, it crashes and spits out an error via the WowError.exe, and if I don't use OpenGL, it can play, but the FPS will spike horribly at random times, and all player

World of Warcraft Installation
I'm trying to install World of Warcraft on Ubuntu 6.06. I have followed the instructions on AppDB to build the patched version of Wine 0.9.18, and am now trying to install it. I am trying to install from iso files on my hard drive, not CDs. I have created a directory /media/fakecd, and I do "sudo mount -o loop disc1.iso /media/fakecd". I also used winecfg to add e: to the device
