In order to make it shut down properly you may try the following.
In Wine configuration , "Graphics" tab, check "Emulate a virtual desktop".
Now all wine porgrams will be opened "inside" or "above" a Windows' blue desktop area.
Now when you want to shutdown MS Money, use mouse right-click on the task bar -> "Close", instead of Money window

Wine 1.3.11 and Micorsoft Money Sunset Edition
I've gotten Microsoft Money Sunset running under wine following the instructions here...

Newbie question - running MSMONEY fails.
Hi,
I've recently installed the latest version of WINE (from LinuxFormat
Mag), and I can run some app's (sol.exe, notepad etc). However, when
I try to run 'larger' apps I run into problems. Specifically I'm
trying to run MSMONEY 2001.
I cd to c:/program files/microsoft money/system
then run
wine --winver win98 msmoney.exe
and I get the following:

Problems running MS Money 97
Hi,
I have done a lot of work to try to get it to run, but now I am stuck.
Following are the things I've tried.
Money 97 will install (after a long time) on both Crossover Office 2.1.0
and wine-20040121. When starting the program in both Crossover and
wine, an error dialog box is displayed when starting the program. The
text of the error message is:

fail to open port of a game connection software
I have a software which build connection of WC3 to the game server. It works correctly under windowxp.
Now, I try to run it under wine-1.1.26+ubuntu 9.04. The dialog can show correctly. However, after clicking the button of "connect", it prompts that "it cannot bind the port", and prints the following text in the terminal:

Problems running F.E.A.R. 2 Installer
Greetings,
Yesterday I bought the game fear 2 and tried installing it, without success. My errors however appear to be unusual, as there is no documentation for them on the F.E.A.R. page and hours of searching the cause of the errors remained unsuccessful.
On the DVD there are 2 files to run the setup: Autorun.exe and masterar.exe, both throw similar errors.

Sonos 2.8 Install Fails/Succeeds on Unbuntu 9.04 Wine 1.1.22
I have successfully installed Sonos 2.8 using Ubuntu 9.04 and Wine 1.1.22 on my wireless Dell Inspiron laptop and an old dual boot Dell Dimension desktop. "Bus Driver" Game cannot complete registration
Hi!
My son successfully played demo of the Bus Driver game and thus asked me
to buy him the full version, which I did. Version 1.5 of the game was then
downloaded, which is not referenced in AppDb yet, and AppDb entry itself
seems outdated.

Regression testing Money 2004
Hi,
I'm following the WineGit instructions to try and discover why Money
2004 doesn't run with 0.9.12 or later. This is the first time I have
tried to do regression testing, so I need some help. Is this the

32bit to 64bit game migration
Hello all,
So I just upgraded my computer from arch 32 to arch 64 and went to reinstall my game of choice (champions online) the same way I had it set up in my 32bit setup. I am using WINEARCH=win32 installed the following winetricks packages gecko, corefonts and ie7. The game requires that you use ie for updates and launching the game. Quicken 2008 Registration
I'm pretty dependent on Quicken. (widoze) I have a new install of Wine 1.1.14. Installed IE6 because Quicken would not work with built-in IExplorer. Program works pretty good. Many features require that the program be registered.
I run Quicken then select On-line Registration from the Help Menu:
