WoW + Wine + Twinview = Annoying jumping cursor
Ok, this isn't really a simple thing to describe so I'll state the basic problem first and things I've noticed that are most likely associated with it.
The problem is while playing World of Warcraft on a Twinview activated X-Server, the camera will do random jumps around my character when the mouse is clicked.
Now by 'random' I actually mean a few things:

WoW + Wine Git
Howdy,
Recently, I fetched a post-1.1.5 version of Wine off of Git. I run WoW fullscreen in OpenGL. I've made no changes to my WoW configuration.
However, it appears this version of Wine now takes Gnome Panel into consideration when determining the OpenGL viewport size. It places the OpenGL viewport between my top and bottom Gnome Panel. It was neat to begin with, but now I'm coming

Ubuntu Hardy + Wine + WoW = corrupted graphics
Hello all,
I've got a laptop w/ an "Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS, 943/940GML"
graphics card (I know, Intel sucks) running Ubuntu Hardy and Wine
0.9.61~winehq0~ubuntu~8.04-1.
I've had problems getting World of Warcraft to run under wine before, so
when I upgraded to Hardy I thought I would try it again. At least in
the past I could run WoW using the built-in d3d

Workaround: stuttering legs in WoW 3.1.x
Hi there,
I recently found a workaround for the "stuttering legs" bug in WoW, which is currently described in AppDB. It should work for everyone using gnome - so, since this is widespread, I thought it would be a good idea to share the workaround with you.
I noticed that the running animation is all okay when activating auto-run - and that holding down the "run forward" key

Minimizing WoW - Painfully low FPS
I can play WoW perfectly, it is 100% stable and I can get great fps.
One problem though, when I minimize the game and I maximize it, sometimes I can just keep playing happily but sometimes thats not the case. I minimize it, maximize it again and the FPS drops to about 10-20fps (anywhere).
As you might know, this is VERY annoying, I've tried changing loads of settings in-game with no help.

Wine, Wow Cata and D3D
Running Ubuntu 10.04, Nvidia driver version 260.19.29, 3 GB RAM, AMD Phenom Quad-Core, wine-1.3.11.
I notice no difference in performance whether OpenGL is enabled or not. Does this mean D3D is now working and I don't need OpenGL now?
I get close to 80fps in some places, which is great, but in a raid or other places with a lot of toons and activitiy, Wow practically freezes up and becomes

Re: Wine and WoW Cataclysm Patch 4.0 troubleshooting thread
Ok, after several hours, I installed the nVidia drivers from their own website, and then (this was the bit that took longest) I installed Wine 1.3.28 from the PPA. I had a go at building 1.3.29 from sources, but it complained about not having 32 bit development libraries. I looked around and all I could find was to install wine-deps from the PPA so I figured if I was going to do that, I might as

Ubuntu + Wine = Can't See My WoW :(
Hello all,
I've been struggling for a while now to get World of Warcraft running
under wine, and there's lots of helpful information out there, but
nothing seems to address the particular problem that I am having.
Rather than try to explain it to you, it would be easier just to show
you a screenshot:
