I have this exact same problem. I would like to uninstall evernote 4.3.1.4479 but every time I run uninstall, the program actually reinstalls itself. I am running wine-1.2.2 on Ubuntu 11.04.

wine and wine-preloader segfault when running Evernote 4.2.2
I installed Evernote 4.2.2 build 3913 under wine 1.3.14 on Fedora 14 after reading in the AppDB that Evernote 4 works well for others, albeit with sometimes slugging performance. I got Evernote to install just fine, but running it crashes every time. I tried configuring the Evernote wine environment as XP and Windows 7, and have the same problem.
When I launch the Evernote.exe, it launches a few

Evernote stopped working after upgrade to Ubuntu 11.04
I was using the netbook version of Ubuntu 10.10 and I upgraded to Ubuntu 11.04 (which I now realize I shouldn't have). Not only can I not use the netbook version, and have to use Ubuntu classic, now Evernote program doesn't work under wine. I tried reinstalling wine and removing .wine, but nothing works.
Here's the output from the terminal

Evernote Cannot Connect To Internet
Hi
I'm trying to run Evernote under Wine and it installs correctly, but after that it asks for login and password. I put them, press login and it says "Can't connect to server. Please try later". The most sad thing was I could run Evernote successfully on Wine under previous versions of Ubuntu, but it doesn't work on the latest 12.04.
Versions of software I tried:

Evernote and "open with"
Hi.
I'm running Evernote 4.5.4 in Wine 1.5.2. I have a lot if images in my notes, these images are often very big and difficult to view within a note. In Windows one selects "open with" in the right click popup menu from the image to open the image in a more suitable viewer. This does not work in Linux/Wine. The "open with" menu expands into "Choose program"

Linux alternative to MS OneNote
Have been looking for an alternative to OneNote which will run on
CentOS.
I've looked at Evernote, but it's support for Linux is emerging
(supports Android, but not other flavors yet).
I've looked at nixnote, but it looks as though I might have to make from
source. I can do that, but would prefer to find something in the
standard CentOS repositories.
None of the other

Why do i cant get Windows applications running?
Hello,
respekt to your whole work on the Wine Project. But i have tried to make many Windows applications running with wine but nothing is working expecting the apps that are delivered with the wine package.
I've tested it with an Ubuntu 10.04, 10.10, 11.04, 11.10 -> Nothing!
I have used winetricks -> Nothing!
Are there any hints to get, for example, the Amazon Kindle or the Evernote

Installed a 30 day trial of Adobe Acrobat 7.0 and I'm now trying to
"properly" uninstall.
I run "uninstaller" and the program shows up in the list of installed
programs. In Uninstaller: click on the program description to highlight
it and then clicking the Uninstall tab causes the hard drive to wobble
about a bit, the program becomes un-highlighted and the uninstaller

uninstall problem
Under Windows 2000 I installed R 1.4.0 some time ago. I then
installed R 1.4.1 just now. If I
hit the Windows Start button
select Programs from the menu that appears
select R from the menu that appears
then I get a menu with
R 1.4.0
R 1.4.1
R 1.4.0 Help
R 1.4.1 Help
Uninstall R for Windows
If I select Uninstall R for Windows it uninstalls R 1.4.1 but
I want to uninstall 1.4.0 .

how to uninstall wine
I need to remove wine completely on Red Hat Linux 7.1
I tried "make uninstall" but it doesn't work completely.. It only
uninstalls it partially. I didn't install it using rpm btw. So i can't
do something like rpm -e wine. There's also no "dkpg" whatever command!
Thanks.

Uninstall Samba?
Hello,
I am wondering if anyone could help me out with the following questions:
1. How to uninstall Samba?
2. How to install/upgrade/uninstall Samba from Mandrake 9.0 to the latest
Samba version via source code (I noticed that MDK9 installed Samba to
different places. And the document:"Using Samba" mentioned the file
"inetd.conf" but I couldn't find it in MDK9.)

Getting current Wine in Ubuntu 10.04?
I'm on Ubuntu Lucid with the Wine PPA in my repos, and wine --version
still gives "wine-1.2", not 1.3.0 and on. What's the magic incantation
to get the dev releases?

OT: Google Earth - How to uninstall, before installing newest version?
Desktop is CentOS 5.4 (32 bit). I have Google Earth version
4.2.205.5730 (13NOV2007 build date) installed. I have checkinstall
(spelling?) installed, but am not sure if that was installed before or
after Google Earth was installed. I have the Google Repository
installed, but apparently Google Earth cannot be updated via yum and
probably it was not installed via yum.
Question: What is the best

When rebuilding new 1.3 version, uninstall first?
When pulling a new version of the Wine1.3 source from Git, do I need to first uninstall the current the current wine1.3 before building and installing the new version?
If so, what's the command for that, since Wine1.3 is installed with tools/wineinstall instead of make install? Or do I use 'make uninstall' anyway? Or can I just overwrite the old version?
