Printing from Darwine (OS X)
I'm somewhat new to wine on my Mac so I read the wineHQ wiki (http://wiki.winehq.org/Printing) and searched the forums but didn't come up with anything which I saw was an answer.
I am running 1 specific app through darwine on my mac and when I try to print it says there are no printers. I saw references to something called cups-pdf but that looks like it's just a virtual printer. I

What is the best Wineskin engine for installing Explorer 7 ?
Hello, I am very new to using wine, so I really don't know a thing about the world of wine, except for that it's currently giving me much headache.
Anyway, the question I really want to ask here, is about what's the best Wineskin engine for one to use when installing Internet Explorer 7.
As ignorant as I am, I only know to the extent that the newer versions do not work so well on the

Re: Installing NWN on MacOS 10.5
Xquartz problems is one reason in Wineskin Engines I have a custom built version of Xquartz... it doesn't use your systems installed X11 or Xquartz version... much like Crossover builds in their own X server as well.
As to getting it to work in Wineskin... the NWN wrapper I made that is around comes with directions on how to get the game inside of it... then its just a mac app. Its not

Joystick functionality in Wine for Mac OS
I need help getting my joystick functioning for Wine in Mac OS X. I am using Wineskin with Wine version 1.3.9 and Mac OS 10.6.5. The joystick is functional and my Mac reads it fine. I've tried editing the regedit keys by creating a DirectInput key with the string "Logitech Logitech Extreme 3D" = "X,Y,Rz,Slider1,POV1,POV2". However, that did nothing. I also tried putting the

The place to put this information is the MacOSX wiki page, which looks to be sorely in need of updating. An experienced Mac user needs to do it. http://wiki.winehq.org/MacOSX

Black screen -- MTG: Duels of the Planeswalkers
Hello!
I've tried to port these following games:
-Magic: The Gathering - Duels of the Planeswalkers
-Magic: The Gathering - Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012
...but to no avail. My rig is Macbook Air 2010 2Gb and it runs Mac OS X 10.6.8 Snow Leopard.
I've tried to use Wineskin with 1.3.37 engine and 2.5.3 wrapper. The results on AppDB are positive -- the games are running and everything

Emulate virtual desktop window has a titlebar on OSX
Hi everyone -
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this (but I'd thought I'd give the forums a try before attempting to file any bugs anywhere), but anyway...
For a month or two I've been using wine-devel on OSX using macports (from 1.4 to current, approximately) with the latest version of XQuartz, and noticed that while the "emulate virtual desktop" window

Running Vampire the Masquerade - Bloodlines graphic bug
Hi all,
I'm new to wine, and I've done a lot of reading and searching for a solution to my problem. But nothing seems to work.
The game runs fine, only on startup the movies in front of the main menu don't work. And in game characters are teared up.
Example:

OT: Xranr support for MacOSX {was: Wine Window not Maximizing in MacOSX}
Note: This is somewhat related to Wine as fullscreen window support for X11 does not exist, at present, in the base X11 code. Many folks have posted threads asking why this is not so.
Bottom line: Without good xrandr support, there will NEVER be true fullscreen support nor the ability to open X11 sessions with sized windows without using the virtual desktop. This is sorely needed and

Playing Neverwinter Nights
I've installed Neverwinter Nights using a wrapper in Wineskin, but when given the option to select an EXE I don't know which to pick. I've systematically gone through all the different things I think are most likely, but nothing lets me run the game.
With some .exe files, such as nwmain.exe (which i thought would be the one) the whole Wineskin program simply stops responding.

archive of legacy oggenc/oggenc2 encoders for windows?
Thanks for all the info - I was able to find exactly what I was looking for
here:
http://codecs.ex-sounds.net/ogg/vorbis/oggenc/
As for what I'm up to, I have a memory-limited port of the Tremor Vorbis
decoder that I want to test on some older vorbis encoders for backwards
compatibility purposes. Nothing too nefarious. ;)
