CadStd Access Violation Problem
Hi to all, My first post... I just installed the drafting package CadStd under Wine 1.0.1. It loads all right, but any movement of the mouse in the drawing window portion generates an error pop-up "Access violation at address 0000000B". The mouse works all right in the control sections. I assume some utility file is restricting access to raise the error, but that's a guess. Any

Install Rmpi
Hi everyone As I couldn't succeed with manual installation of Rmpi I decided to start again from the beginning. I removed R and MPICH in my Ubuntu Hardy installation. Then, to avoid any dependencies problems I have installed MPICH and R from synaptic, not from sources. But now I can't install Rmpi. An error message appears when trying to install Rmpi, you can find in

Re: Help compiling an older version of wine on 64 bit Fedora 14
Well, it's got on a bit now, so I don't know if I should start a new thread. Anyway, I applied the patch but still seems to be running into problems. This is what I've done: After downloading version 1.1.0 from sourceforge I saved the following as "winepatch.diff": Code: --- loader/preloader.c | 2 +- 1 files changed, 1 insertions(+), 1 deletions(-) diff --git

Opus Major Version Benchmarks on Raspberry Pi
I wanted to roughly benchmark how the different version of libopus performed at each complexity level for a 6kbit/s output opus file. This was conducted on a Raspberry Pi so it is a constant hardware platform. This was done on an early Pi so only 256MB RAM but it was never used up so should not make a difference. I compiled the three final versions of each major release of libopus so that was

How To Start Troubleshooting
Hi All, I'm running wine 13.37 on Ubuntu 11.10. I've been able to get some windows products to work nicely. I'm having trouble installing a program called Studio Tax 2011, by Bhok IT Consulting. I have included a screen shot of an error message I receive while trying to use PlayOnLinux to install as well as the info produced when I try to initiate the install through a terminal

Benchmarks on Pi
Cliff, Yes it would be good, but very hard to get a figure for the quality. At 6kbps I assume it does not bother trying to figure what mode to use as at that rate it can only use SILK. When I run some other bitrates it may get a bit slower trying to decide whether it is voice or music. I started with low bit rate because I am only really interested in Voice and very low bit rate. I think there

Working out sales tax...
Hi, Having googled extensively about storing money in Rails, it seems to be accepted that the best way is to store the prices etc in the smallest part of the currency so that you can use an integer i.e ?20 would be stored as 2000 pence. This is fine and I''ve made a nice pretty wrapper that outputs the price in the standard form for invoicing and what not - but here I''ve

Drake Tax Preparation Software
Hi, I am new to using wine. I wanted to run our office's tax preparation program (Drake). Using wine, I installed a workstation version of Drake by running a program off the server, as has been done on the windoze machines here. I can get the program to start (the console shows "fixme:wininet: InternetGetConnectedState always returning LAN connection", but I understand that this is

Need help running Windows tax application.
Which I cannot change, because it is the only one approved by our government (as in: "you can either use a licensed windows or you can use paper and pen to submit your tax report"). I first tried to install the app as normal. When hat didn't work, I used S?rgio Lu?s Lopes J?nior's iEs4Linux. Now that did work, but it ties me to IE's EULA, which would require me to purchase a

problems with "Save As" in BNA Income Tax Planner for Windows
Hi - A client reported this morning that the "Save As" function in some tax planning software they use "didn't work with the new server" (Samba 1.9.17p2 on intel/linux v 2.0.30). All client machines are Win95 OSR2. Essentially, when you type a name in the save as dialog and press enter, a backslash is added to the end of the new filename (in the dialog, that is),

FYI Brian Fertig Treasury disconnects tax on long-distance calls WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) - The brief Spanish-American War ended more than a century ago, but not the federal tax assessed to fund the victory. Until now. On Thursday, the U.S. Treasury said it would stop collecting the 3% federal excise tax on long-distance calls, a fee originally assessed in 1898. The government also said it

ATM [Cell Tax]
I have read the thread at http://mailman.ds9a.nl/pipermail/lartc/2006q1/018287.html and still don''t know how to fix this problem. It appears alot of work has gone into it but the HOWTO is so out of date it doesn''t even begin to addresses this method. So here are my questions 1. what is the current state of these patches? are they in a specific version? do i have to patch myself?
