Starcraft II 1.1.2: Cannot load libGL
Hey everybody, I tried Googling specific problems with this but could not find any. I was working under wine1.3.4 when Starcraft II was in 1.1.1, but after successfully installing the patch 1.1.2 (for Starcraft II that is), I am unable to start the game, and it officially complains about DirectX not being installed. However, that's not true as we all know... The terminal output is as follows:

Trouble with Starcraft II, actual gameplay doesn't work.
I installed starcraft 2 into wine, and everything works perfectly fine. I log in, go to singleplayer, start a game with the AI, and everything works as it should. But the actual game doesn't work, I can't see or control any units or buildings. Example: [img]http://imgur.com/udVkL[/img] What do I need to do/change? This is the only problem with the game, and nothing has been

Starcraft II Beta Launcher Issue
I successfully installed the beta to one of my partitions, and the patches were all applied without a hitch, didn't get the slow firewall problem until the last patch application though, for whatever reason. I have an nVidia GTX 260 with the most current drivers installed. When I put the following command in the terminal it hangs on the bold and then goes through the rest to give me a popup

Starcraft II crashes on certain maps
I have been somewhat successfully playing Starcraft II on Wine except that I can't seem to load certain maps. When I try to play on them I get a "pop" in the audio while loading, then after about a minute, the game crashes. I then receive a message of this sort: ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xC0000005)occurred at 0073:69EBFCCD. The memory at '0x00000008' could not be read. I've

Starcraft II on OpenSUSE 12.1 installing but not startin
Im running Opensuse 12.1 64 bit with KDE 4.8.2 installed. I've tried both the basic wine install as well as installing through crossover. The game installs fine after I downloaded the online version install, but after it shows 100% installed and I hit next, it briefly shows the update screen and then seemingly crashes. Afterwards, when I click to run Starcraft II it just shows the waiting

Frequent Starcraft II crashes.
Recently I've been getting frequent Starcraft II crashes. They started out very rare (every other day or so), then recently have been happening every few minutes. Here's the terminal output I get when I run Starcraft II and it crashes. http://pastebin.ca/2052417 I'm pretty sure the last two lines are the root of my problem, but googling the error didn't help me at all: Code:

StarCraft II, low CPU/GPU usage
Hi all, I'm trying to properly understand why SC2 doesn't use CPU/GPU at 100%, sleeps all the time. I've managed to instrument SleepEx function, and I found out that the game spawns a lot of threads which are put to sleep by themselves 95% of the time if not more. This should definitely be on of the (if not main) reason why SC2 doesn't use the CPU/GPU at 100% and both are set to

Starcraft and Diablo II use a lot of CPU power
Hello, I am running Wine 1.0 under Fedora 9 x86_64. The problem is that the two mentioned games use a lot of CPU power about 50 % on a 2 Ghz Core 2 Duo. At first I thought this is caused by GDI DirectDraw renderer, but changing to opengl did not help. Also, it is just the same when you configure Diablo to use Direct3D renderer. Does anybody has any idea where can I look for the source of this

WINE, StarCraft II and I/O bottlenecks
Hi all. Since I installed SC2 on my Ubuntu 10.04 x86-64 (Phenom II X4 965 BE, 8 GB Ram, nVidia 470 GTX - Driver 260.19.06, USB mic+headphones), I never managed to play at it with Ultra details with more than 12~15 FPS. You could say that the fault is in a slow CPU, bad videocard or lousy sound card (the above USB stuff). But the CPU isn't that bad, the ram quantity is more than enough and

Is there a difference ...?
Doh123, how is running a program off an NTFS partition asking for trouble? Ntfsprogs seems to handle it just fine. I know that NTFS doesn't let you mark a file as executable, and that the filesystem is susceptible to fragmentation, but you should just be able to tell it to run rather than display and be good. It shouldn't cause destruction. I think there might even be an NTFS defrag tool
