Wine and OpenGL 3.2
Hi fellas, I was searching for informations about Wine and OpenGL 3.2. I
didn't find anything.
What do you guys think about that. That will affect wined3d ? I mean, some
functions will be optimized because now OpenGL is comparing to Direct3D ?
Thank you.

Help with Wine
I sent an email a while back, but I'm not sure it ever reached its
destination. Basically I'm looking for someone who can help me with some
problems I've been having with my window's emulator, running on kde.
There are three different problems that I've encountered:
1. While trying to run high-graphics games.
I want to know if that is supported in wine, and if it is,

Compiling wine on AMD64
I've been trying various ways of getting wine running on my 64 bit
ubuntu machine. So far I haven't been very successful. I am trying
the source for 0.9.20 and I'm using the latest k8 kernel in ubuntu.
I have an nvidia card and am using the latest glx drivers available
in ubuntu (1.0.8762).
I am using the guide here:

Why doesn't Portal with Wine with the radeon driver work?
I am using Wine 1.2 which I compiled on Debian testing/wheezy. It works with fglrx but not with the radeon driver. I am using the AMD/ATI HD4850 video card. The following terminal output shows the wine error and that the radeon driver has OpenGL 2.1 support which to my understanding is at least the equivalent of Direct3D 9 (which is all I need). Also, there is a wine popup for every attempt to run

Problems compiling for git testing (No OpenGL library found)
I'm following the instructions at
http://wiki.winehq.org/RegressionTesting
to find the problem that stopped a series of my games from working, but when I run
Code:
CC="ccache gcc" ./configure --verbose
Everything goes fine except at the end an error is produced:
"configure: WARNING: No OpenGL library found on this system.

First-time wine user, having problems with Direct3D and EE2
I'm a first time wine user, though long time Linux user, so excuse me if
my question is documented somewhere. I've searched, here and google
without success thus far.
Looking through AppDB, I noticed that EE2 (Empire Earth 2) seems to work
well with wine, so I decided to try this as my first attempt to use
wine. Unfortunately, I get the following errors:

Best glide wrapper under wine
Has anybody found out which is the best glide wrapper to use under recent versions of wine?
I'm trying to play some old windows games from the late '90s on my iMac (ATI 5670), most of them do not support neither opengl nor Direct3D, just Glide. I've tried running under Bootcamp / Windows 7, but it seems that right now wine has become more compatible for such software than windows

Wine doesn't have direct3d9?
Where ever I go everyone says wine has it's own implementation of direct 3d, but when I try to run an application(Heroes of might and magic V in my case) it says it can't initialize direct3d9.
On the winehq page it says it should run fine, only with a few minor problems.
And according to this page wine should output debug data whenever a direct3d app starts direct3d

City of Heroes / wine not identifying NVIDIA video card
I've been using wine for some time now to play City of Heroes and overall I've been very satisfied. One issue that has always bothered me is that COH gives a warning about outdated video card drivers even with the most recent drivers from NVIDIA installed. This limits the settings that can be chosen in the video options. I also suspect it's not making the most efficient use of my
