I have added a new series of Wine 1.3 packages to the Wine PPA: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-wine/+archive/ppa These are for 10.04 (Lucid) only and must be explicitly installed: sudo apt-get install wine1.3 Users who simply install the wine or wine1.2 packages (as in, all existing users) will instead get the stable Wine 1.2 release, which is still packaged there. I have some issues with sound. I play world of warcraft in in Ubuntu 10.04 it ran just fine. No sound issues no problems. About the same time that Ubuntu 10.10 came out, Warcraft updated as well. NOW the sound works..but will just STOP and cut off and not work again until I reboot the PC. In an Ubuntu forum a guy was telling me he had the same issue with Starcraft 2.
