MapPoint 2004 and Swing App
Hello, I am new to Wine. I have a swing app that requires the use of mappoint. Currently it runs on a windows box. The new box the app will be running on will be XBuntu. Using Wine I can install MapPoint, however on windows I will using Java2COM from Neva Objects which allowed the swing app to talk to mappoint. How would this be possible if I switched to XBuntu? Subject: Trying to Get Results from Form Element -CLOSED-
Thanks for your advice. It turns out that I had access to what I needed all along. All I had to do was stop thinking of the (form) result as a hash and start thinking of it as a list. The following line is what I use to get the desired result. citySelection = Gmap.find(:first, params[:mapPoint].values[0])

Installin wine 1.3 shouldn't be this complicated!
I'm new to ubuntu but i'm starting to understand it. However, Ubuntu is completely useless for me if I can't run the latest version of wine (1.3). Wine 1.2 was working great on 10.04 however photoshop cs4 wouldn't install on it. So I upgraded to maverick, deleted wine 1.2, and am now trying to install wine 1.3. Should be simple, right? I've added the correct repositories to

Compiling Wine with opengl support
Hi all. After upgrading to Maverick 10.10, and additionally using Nvidia beta drivers, it appears that my wine will not compile with opengl. I'm assuming it's a library issue, and I have this error in my config.log: wine libGL.dylib:/System/Library/Frameworks/OpenGL.framework/Versions/A/Libraries/libGL.dylib: No such file or directory I've done the apt-get build-dep wine and it

SF Beer & Pizza SIG - review and forecast
Wednesday''s Beer & Pizza SIG was attended by about a dozen Rubyists, plus one extremely well-dressed gentleman (no hacker he!) who was on the prowl for Rubyists to hire. Beer and Pizza (among other things) were consumed, Ruby (among other things) was discussed, and everyone appeared to have a good time. The upcoming SIG will, as announced previously, be held just up the street at
