Hey guys. In trying to make Skyrim work, I've deleted wine, steam, and everything to try and start fresh. Now no matter what I do, vcrun2008 refuses to install. I had already installed it once successfully before, but still Skyrim wasn't working (no sound, generally buggy) and now when I try to install vcrun2008 via winetricks I'm getting: (After a hole bunch of miscellaneous stuff)

Hi, Actually, i use different prefix for all my applications. I would like to know if it's possible to use one prefix for multiple app who use different override dll. For exemple, i have an application X and application Y. X need to use d3dx9_* override dll and Y need to use msvcr90 override dll (vcrun2008). How to override d3dx9_9 dll only for the app X if i install d3dx9 by winetricks ?

I am trying to play Rift. I just did a full install of openSUSE 11.4 (wanted to try something other than ubuntu). I added the WINE repo and installed it. I then installed Rift with the downloader with WINE instead of using my windows install. I used the winetricks that came with WINE and installed d3dx9 and vcrun2008. Hello, I'm under Ubuntu - Jaunty Jackalope. While installing 3 different games under Wine (Medieval II - Total War, Patrician III : Rise of the Hanse and Anno 1503), the installation went smoothly but the same problem of the game asking to insert an already inserted CD occured.
