Trying old multimedia app, get crash
I'm running an old Windows 98-era app created by an outfit called the Media Cafe. It's called "The Ring Disc" and is an interactive version of Wagner's Ring. I'm running Wine 1.3.23 on Mac OS X 10.6.8. The changes I made were to configure audio as CoreAudio, and to set the overall system to Windows 98 (and I tried ME as well). What I see is that the application starts

rsync error: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION
I received the following error on the client when testing the pre2 release. I'm not sure what it means or if it helps. Rsync 2.6.9 runs the same backup without error. I compiled rsync under cygwin CVS so it may be an issue there as well. Server side did not crash. It did log an error, but I'm pretty sure it was due to the client-side crash. Rsync was running using an ssh port

wine is6 problems
Hi all, I am trying to install an application which uses Install Shield 6 under wine (wine-20040505, built from source). I copied over stdole32.tlb from windows installation. There are no other native DLLs apart from this. But the setup crashes. I have enclosed the backtrace. Googling led me to many threads with similar problems. Various options I tried were : - Using native oleaut32.dll

HandBrakeCLI crashes when converting
Hello! At first, i want to run the latest HandBrake (version 0.93) on a Mac with Mac OS 10.4 (Tiger). The problem is, that Handbrake is developed for Mac OS 10.5 (XCode SDK is not compatible to Mac OS 10.4 one). So i decided to try it with wine/darwine. Because wine is better supported on Linux and you can get easier newer version (apt-get), i decided to run HandBrakeCLI.exe on Debian Etch

Crashes on launch with runaway blank error message windows
New, clean, basic install of Xubuntu 10.04 on older 256MB 400MHz Celeron. Wine 1.1.42-0ubuntu4 from us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid/universe Packages When launching winecfg or a Windows app, opens window for app, then starts opening infinite "error" windows that are blank. Only way to stop is to restart. Is there a log somewhare? Happen to anybody else?

problem with 24 bit odd size file (even in new version)
i had the problem is flac 1.1.2 so upgraded to 1.1.4 but now the problem is just different. the wav file is from audacity, so i guess it is culprit for setting that format type 1 bit, but shouldn't this still work? i found in 1.1.2 (before i found 1.1.3 had the odd size fix judging by relnotes) that i could add a dummy byte to the end and this seems to fix my issue, just not cleanly. here

[LLVMdev] LLVMHello pass compile error under Cygwin
Graham, good morning. To build LLVMHello on cygming, you should configure llvm with --enable-shared . Even with enable-shared, you might build lib/Transforms/Hello manually. (yeah, on cygming, LLVMHello should depend on tools/llvm-shlib) And, you'd be better to build with --enable-optimized. With enable-shared, llvm-shlib tends to fail with too many debug symbols. HTH, ...Takumi

(no subject)
Hi, I'm using rsync/ssh/cygwin to sync two very large directory hierarchies. While testing with one of the subdirectories (this subhierarchy has about 1000 subfolders and 17000 files), I experience the following behavior: rsync 2.6.2 on both ends. Client command: rsync -v -v -r --delete -t --progress --rsh="ssh -l mpdm -i ADMIN/rsa-mpdm01" MPDM-W2K3::"MPDM/17B -

rsync error on Win Server 2008
Hi I'm using rsync (ver 3.0.5) to sync a local folder with a folder on a server using SSH and encrypted key files. It works fine on Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista but not Windows 2008 Server. I get an error like the following: "ssh XXXX_cygtls::handle_exceptions Error while dumping state (probably corrupted stack) rsync connection unexpectedly closed. error in rsync protocol data stream

[LLVMdev] LLVMHello pass compile error under Cygwin
I've built LLVM/Clang from svn under Cygwin on Windows 7. I'd like to build on the LLVMHello pass example, however, when I try: $ cd $LLVM/lib/Transforms/Hello $ make I receive a large number of errors which start with: llvm[0]: Linking Debug+Asserts Loadable Module LLVMHello.dll /cygdrive/c/Users/Graham/home/projects/llvm_cygwin/lib/Transforms/Hello/Debug+Asserts/Hello.o: In function

Myst - config [x11drv] section documentation anywhere?
Hi, I'm attempting to bring up Myst but running into some issues that are presumably graphics related. I had thought that I'd read the manual before I started asking questions here but found that the Wine Configuration File page is inconveniently missing the [x11drv] section. Is there anything written but happens to be elsewhere that I might read? The question I'm trying to

crypting remote data
I don't know if this is the propper place to ask for new funcionality, but after searching the website i didn't find another place to do it. I'm very sorry if I`m asking this in the wrong place. It would be greatful to have crypting funcionality added to rsync, appart from using ssh to crypt transmissions. I know this is not the original purpose for rsync, but anyway it's a fact
