Knights of the Old Republic - White Polygons
I'm sure this has been asked before quite a few years ago and in great quantity, but I've been searching threads on various sites for a few hours now, and can't seem to find a fix. Anywho, I have KOTOR installed, and it runs in fullscreen and all that, however, all my polygons are white, as in, there is no textures. All the text within the game is also just blue boxes. This obviously

CD-ROM not recognized
Howdy Folks, I'm trying to run Cryo's Arthur's Knights under wine. I've managed to install using setup.exe, but when I go to play the game, I get an error message telling me to insert CD #1, even though CD #1 is in the CD-ROM tray and mounted. Any clues as to why I would be getting this message, how to convince the game that the CD is actually in the CD-ROM drive, or how to

Choppy sound
Hello all. I have a strange and irritating problem with Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. I played ok up to a place where I saved. There, I quit the game. When I restarted, the sound became choppy, making the game unplayable: about 1/2 sec of sound plays, then loops for about 3-4 sec, then the next 1/2 sec, loops again, etc... The screen isn't updated during this; well, it is updated,

Best image upload plugin?
Hey everyone, I''ve been dealing with Rails 3, Paperclip and Windows 7 for a few nights now and don''t feel like I''m actually getting anywhere. I''ve hit config issue after config issue and it''s a bit of a nightmare. Can anyone recommend any other gems that will accomplish the same thing? Thanks, Brandon -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/. --

Lots of Samba (smbd) processes
Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew why there would be so many Samba (smbd) processes running on my SCO OpenServer 5.0.5 system? I found an awful lot of them running, much more that what I would expect given the number of Windows PC's on the network. One of the users was having trouble accessing a file on the SCO system, and that is when I discovered this. I actually had to write a program

Hi again, Looking at setting group policy for Linux desktops's chrome installs. Reading through the group policy book (https://dmulder.github.io/group-policy-book/chrome.html#server-side-extension-10) it says I should have some RSOP's for chrome when I've set a policy except Im not seeing these set. I have a policy that is supposed to be setting the home url under

[LLVMdev] non-SSA IR generation
Hi Amruth, If you do not specify any optimization flag for 'clang' and do not run 'opt -mem2reg' pass on the generated IR file, it is in non-SSA form. However, many variables stay in memory instead of registers in this case. Thanks, Jiesheng On Wed, Jun 13, 2012 at 1:17 PM, <amruth.rd at knights.ucf.edu> wrote: > I am experimenting with LLVM optimizer and found that

AdobeReader on 64-bit PCLOS--how?
Some days ago I queried the list about getting LightScribe and AdobeReader to work on a 64-bit PCLOS-KDE system. By accident, I only replied to the one person who answered me, but I can report that the LightScribe problem is solved, and without the use of WINE. If anyone wants to know, please ask and I will post that solution. However. I don't believe that there is a simple solution to

drive letter problem, pclinuxos
Have just installed Wine, version wine.1.2-0.RC4.1pclos2010.i586,rpm. Also did the Wine Gecko install, manually, as was suggested by pclos, in accordance with the Wine Wiki page. All of this seems to work, and I can get the Notepad to work, and to print, so it sort of looks like Windows. But it seems to be installed on the E: drive--at least that's where most everything defaults to.

Installation on Knights Landing (KNL) machines failure
Hi all, We have a customer, where we are trying to install CentOS 7.3 on the new Intel Knights Landing nodes, unfortunately, we are unable to install then using PXE boot. Now, I have a lot of experience of installation of machines using PXE boot, so the setup of that is not the problem. Both myself and my colleagues have looked through the problem, and we are unable to get much diagnosis of

[PATCH 4/5] Intel MIC Card Driver Changes for Virtio Devices.
From: Ashutosh Dixit <ashutosh.dixit at intel.com> This patch introduces the card "Virtio over PCIe" interface for Intel MIC. It allows virtio drivers on the card to communicate with their user space backends on the host via a device page. Ring 3 apps on the host can add, remove and configure virtio devices. A thin MIC specific virtio_config_ops is implemented which is borrowed
