MPEG DASH
This document from Qualcomm may help. http://www.qualcomm.com/media/documents/qualcomm-dash-licensing-commitment it states : Companies will not have to pay royalties or license fees because they have implemented the DASH Standard using Qualcomm's DASH Essential Patents within a standalone software application sold and distributed separately from a product capable of implementing a WWAN

NetworkManager / wireless on latest Centos7 installs
Hello All, on the latest installs I've done, on 2 different types of Latitude laptops, with 3 different wireless cars, of Centos7 and Mate desktop, it looks to me like NetworkManager is nog managing wireless. When clicking the nm icon in the top right corner, I'm not seeing access points. Wifi seems enabled [root at localhost ~]# nmcli g STATE CONNECTIVITY WIFI-HW WIFI WWAN-HW

Verizon Interconnection
Hi, Has anyone on this list connected with Verizon's SIP product? We are currently undergoing interop testing with Verizon, and honestly, it seems like the most convoluted process. I'd be interested in talking with someone else who has gone through this and run a few things past you. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

[PATCH 00/51] treewide: Switch to __pm_runtime_put_autosuspend()
Hello everyone, This set will switch the users of pm_runtime_put_autosuspend() to __pm_runtime_put_autosuspend() while the former will soon be re-purposed to include a call to pm_runtime_mark_last_busy(). The two are almost always used together, apart from bugs which are likely common. Going forward, most new users should be using pm_runtime_put_autosuspend(). Once this conversion is done and

asterisk and verizon DSL
Is anyone succesfully running Asterisk behind verizon residential DSL? I seem to be having some problems with my Asterisk server switching to Verizon. I'm attempting to do some troubleshooting, but I'm really interested in knowing of anyone's setup that already has Asterisk working with Verizon residential DSL. Thanks AJ ------------------------------------------------------ This

IrfanView-Ubuntu dialog box problems
In XP, Irfanview presents up to 90 (18 rows, 5 cols) of files in the "Open" file dialog box. That is, up to 90 files are displayed at once for a selected directory using the "open folder icon". Using WINE with Ubuntu 9.04 and Irfanview 3.98 or 4.25, the open box will only display up to 12 files (6 rows by 2 cols). This is very inconvenient for a directory with hundreds of

MPEG DASH
Daniel, I won't make any points regarding DASH's fit with Icecast, but I wanted to address your statement that there is no purpose for adaptive streaming. Cell phone connections are fairly terrible and inconsistent. Even if you have a solid signal on a 4G technology, you could walk around a corner and it will disappear. What works at 3mbit/s one minute might be 10kbit/s the next.

Hard Ground (On Ring)
We have been experiencing static noise on one of our phone lines connected to our Adtran Total Access 750 which is then connected to a T100P card. I was convinced that, after rain storms, the static would get worse, it was surely a problem of Verizon's. Verizon sent a field rep out today and he told our secretary (I was busy) that there was a hard ground on the Ring portion of the line.

Question on clicking
This isn't an asterisk question, more of a telco question. Hopefully someone on this list involved with telco can answer it. I have a client who is using asterisk with analog phone lines. There is a bad clicking noise on the line. "Click.... Click.... Click". We have narrowed it down to being the farmer's fencer next door. (And by next door I mean 2 acres away).

Issues with ATI?
I'm rather new to Ubuntu and thus WINE and I'm just about to buy new parts for my computer (it's kind of broken as of this moment). When I read through the FAQ in the wiki I noticed something in section 9.3, "If you're running a graphics-heavy application using a video card with very poor drivers such as an ATI card under Linux, performance will degrade substantially.".

Korean Translation - Anaconda Slides
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, Well, it seems like my gnome terminal can't interpret Korean translations very well. Or maybe it can and I don't know how to confirm it ? I tried the following encoding characters in the gnome terminal: Current Local (UTF-8) Korean (EUC-KR) Korean (UHC) Korean (JOHAB) and all I can see are question marks inside black rhombus. That
