"Not enough memory" on MacOSX
I just installed wine 1.2-rc7 on a recent Macbook Pro under MacOSX 10.6.4 using Macports. It works fine with several Windows applications. However, when I try to execute an EXE file compiled from a simple Fortran program on a Windows box, all I get is: wine: Not enough memory The message is not correct since I have 4GB and the program is small. Also, the program works with wine-1.0.1 on a

OT: Xranr support for MacOSX {was: Wine Window not Maximizing in MacOSX}
Note: This is somewhat related to Wine as fullscreen window support for X11 does not exist, at present, in the base X11 code. Many folks have posted threads asking why this is not so. Bottom line: Without good xrandr support, there will NEVER be true fullscreen support nor the ability to open X11 sessions with sized windows without using the virtual desktop. This is sorely needed and

Driver macosx-ups failing on Yosemite
I think the high CPU usage was caused by the native OS X driver crashing and not working properly. The native driver was not sensing the UPS going on battery or any change in battery percentage. Unplugging the USB and then plugging it back again made the native driver come back up again properly. Restarting the macosx-ups driver seems to get back to normal CPU usage. I will monitor and see how it

gdi32.dll error
Hello, I encounter the same problem on MacOSX 10.5.6, either using X11 supplied with Leopard, or X11 2.3.3.2 (XQuartz) and Xcode 3.1.2. It appears using Darwine 1.1.21 from Kronenberg, Darwine 1.1.7 from thisismyinter.net, or the lastest wine-1.1.21, compiled from source. The only way to use wine is to installed wine stable from MacPorts or the Kronenberg's 1.1.21. Hardly, it

(Dar)Wine and The Bat!
Greetings, I'm trying to run The Bat! (email client by RITlabs) on Mac OS X 10.5.7 with the most current XQuartz installed. I compiled Wine 1.1.22 using MacPorts and confirmed it is working for simple Windows applications. (Btw, is this Wine or Darwine, since MacPorts seems to download and compile the official Wine sources?) After installing The Bat!, it starts up and immediately quits with

Firstly, hello and thank you for attempting to come to my rescue, I am in need of your assistance. With that said please let me share this problem in hopes of a possible solution. Recently, I installed and configured MacPorts successfully. However I receive a warning from my terminal when I try and install wine using MacPorts. The place to put this information is the MacOSX wiki page, which looks to be sorely in need of updating. An experienced Mac user needs to do it. http://wiki.winehq.org/MacOSX

Age of Mythology
So, I installed AoM successfully (I did have the Pidgen.dll problem, but I solved it.) Then, I double clicked the AoM icon in the install folder. At first, the icon appears on my dock...but then it disappears. O.o? Has anybody else experienced this? Also, when installing, it asked me to install the Parser program, which I did (in a "common" folder.) Is that part of the problem? Thanks

Wine refusing to create a configuration directory there
Hello, I am new on the forum, and apologize in advance if this question was answered somewhere else -I looked up, but couldn't find it. This is NOT an issue with running wine as root; I am NOT trying to do that. Just so everybody knows! I am using MacOS 10.7.3 on a late 2011 MacBook Pro, and Wine used to work on it up until last week (it had been ported from a preceding Snow Leopard
