The next Wine Bug Day will be this Sunday, August 16
Wine Bug Day is a chance to help the Wine developers focus on Wine development by doing some of the QA work for them. We make sure bugs are still there in the latest Wine so they don't have to. If you'd like to get involved and maybe even have a bit of fun triaging bugs with a group of people, check out the wiki page at http://wiki.winehq.org/BugDay The wiki page has some suggestions

Help: Ticket farmers
Hi all, Now that it looks like we have some kind of process to manage tickets, I need people to help me with that process. There are currently something like 117 open tickets, and there are about 6 different dimensions on which these tickets can be categorized (e.g., complexity, triage stage -- all the report times listed on the Reports page). My plan is to work my fingers raw going

Anyone able to manually confirm a wine-users account?
I registered "Adys" a couple of months ago on here, asked in winehackers a couple of times but no one able to confirm it was around. The confirmation mail didn't work, password recovery doesn't do anything and if I log in I get "Incorrect or inactive username". Registering Adys again says the username is taken.

No newline in wine printf with multibyte string
Hello. This code: http://paste.pocoo.org/show/391911/ seems to work incorrectly with wine (at least with my 1.3.20-ubuntu6 version), while working well with native linux and native windows. When mingw32-compiled binary is executed under wine it just does not print newline character properly in the end of code, at printf on line #37; if non-ascii characters in printing string are present. This

Still need help with ticket triage
As everyone probably realizes, I''m getting swamped with incoming problems and tickets and I still need help triaging the tickets. James Turnbull has volunteered to help some, but I think we need more than one person. We''ve had a few people step in once or twice, but I''d like to be able to depend on Unreviewed tickets getting handled by someone else, rather

bug triage guide
Hello I was wondering if someone could put together a bug triage guide and put it on the wiki. I was looking for something to do tonight and z00dax said go hunt some bugs. So I went first to the wiki to look for a guide for a proper procedure on how the team would like bug triaging handled but didn't find one. I have triaged before but i know every place is different. So some guidelines

EPEL bug squashing day 2 Dec 2014
Leading up to the upcoming orphan removal in EPEL, the EPEL Steering Committee is organizing a Bug Squashing Day. There are 3 main purposes to this day: 1. Identifying owners willing to take over orphaned packages 2. Bug triage, feedback, or fixing various bugs through patch submission, etc. 3. Last but not least, we'll be covering the testing of various packages which need feedback.

Compiz 0.8 branched
I just branched for 0.8, since Danny told me there was no reason not to. There are still some bugs to work out of course, but since development has been quiet lately, I figure it's time to branch so that we can: 1. Eventually get to the next stable release 2. Allow people to work more freely on master On my personal list of things I want to see working better before a 0.8 release, I have

samba_dlz shutting down on named reload
To a user, samba_dlz just doesn't work correctly with bind. There are two obvious options a) bind is broken somehow and unloads all modules when reloading b) samba_dlz is somehow broken in the way that it interfaces with bind, perhaps it misinterprets the signal to 'reload' when it receives it from bind. As a user, i have no way of knowing which is it is, all that I know is that

Reproducible samba bug with directory name
I just recreated this bug in samba-3.0.26a-3.3. It is as simple as creating a directory named "F-08-6104 International Management Assoc." (without the quotes), then looking at the name of the directory via XP. I've done it twice now: OpenSUSE 10.2 + Samba 3.0.23d-19.7 + XFS, all from Novell OpenSUSE 10.3 + samba-3.0.26a-3.3 + XFS, all from Novell With both I get the same wrong

samba_dlz shutting down on named reload
Well, I had a cursory glance dlz_bind9.c and also the bind9 source code I could find ( http://users.isc.org/~each/doxygen/bind9/dlz__dlopen__driver_8c-source.html) and didnĀ“t see any provision for 'reload' in there. bind is clearly calling the dlz_destroy() function and not dlz_create(), as one would expect, for a reload. So yes, it appears to be a shortcoming of bind. 1) I suggest that
