How to describe the RegisterInfo?
Yes, the arch is just as you said, something like AMD GPU, but Intel GPU
don't have separate register file for 'scalar/vector'.
In fact my idea of defining the register tuples was borrowed from
SIRegisterInfo.td in AMD GPU.
But seems that AMD GPU mainly support i32/i64 register type, while Intel
GPU also support byte/short register type.
So I have to start defining the registers from

Questions about sRTP
Hi all,
I'm getting ready to setup SIP/TLS and SRTP. But I have a few questions.
The first one is that I was reading an article at:
https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-15381
That indicated that Asterisk doesn't support TLS as an OPTIONAL transport.
It's either all or nothing. Specifically, this is what it said:

How to describe the RegisterInfo?
Hi Escha,
Great to have your comment! Do you have any specific reason for not doing
like this?
I am not sure whether I understand your point correctly. For "just model
one thread",
do you mean "only considering ONE of the 8/16 working lanes that running in
lock-step way"??
For my case, may be something like I only need to define r0~r127 as
register for i32 register (each r#

It was definitely not my intention to be non-inclusive, my apologies if that seemed the case!

Samba/WinXP domain-logon
I'm trying to use my samba as domain controller and logon-server for my
WinXP-client. I can see all the shares, and get access to them using
user/password, but when trying to join the domain, it fails with "The
specified user does not exist", even though it does.
The server-log says "smbd/server.c:exit_server(458)".
Can anyone help?

Adding support for vscale
Thanks @Robin and @Graham for giving some background on scalable vectors and clarifying some of the details!
Apologies if I'm repeating things here, but it is probably good to emphasize the conceptually different, but complementary models for scalable vectors:
1. Vectors of unknown, but constant size throughout the program.
2. Vectors of changing size throughout the program.

It eventually gets where I want it ... doesn't work, but at least its set
right ... but why is it done 12 times?
Note, I just added fprintf(stderr) messages to the case statements in the
read_conf() section of servconf.c ...

what the heck? codec_gsm.c:135 gsmtolin_framein: Huh?
I park a call and instead of the parked extension
being returned, I get silence and the log shows
a bunch of the following messages
WARNING[26220]: codec_gsm.c:135 gsmtolin_framein: Huh?
A GSM frame that isn't a multiple of 33 or 65 bytes long from

what does this mean?
BTW these messages are intermittant. sometimes it works fine
other times i get the above message

Sip.conf: domain=huh?
So I saw mention of a way to allow dialing using SIP URI's on Dave McNett's
site at http://slacker.com/~nugget/projects/asterisk/page7
Wow, awesome, I can call anywhere now. However, I think there is a more
elegant way of figuring out whether or not the local * server should handle
a given domain. Specifically, Dave compares a series of domains within
extensions.conf to figure out how to

Ok... I just fully updated a user's machine. And got a kernel panic on
reboot. So, having run into this earlier this year, I tried to reinstall
the kernel.
yum reinstall kernel-3.10.0-693.2.2.el7.x86_64
Installed package kernel-3.10.0-693.2.2.el7.x86_64 (from updates) not

"Not listening for calling name" error - huh?
Hi all,
I have two samba machines running v1.9.18p4. When I try and list the
shares on the second machine (calvin) fromn the first machine (hobbes) I
get this:
Session request failed (131,129) with myname=HOBBES destname=CALVIN
Not listening for calling name
Try to connect as another name (instead of HOBBES)
You may find the -n option useful for this
Any idea what this is trying to tell me?

Ads server = huh?
All,
I've installed a Redhat 9 system with all packages from 3 discs.
Now I've removed my samba 2 related packages and installed samba 3 using
rpm.
After setting up kerberos with my W2k system and testing that out
successfully
I set up smb.conf with security = ads etc
I've also set 'ads server' but this config option causes various samba
binaries to report

I`m getting this (from one of my registered phone that has been installed at
some location I can`t access at the moment) in the Asterisk CLI. Notice the

1 should be 2. huh?
There''s another quirk I wanted to bring up. It''s about the failure
message with should_equal and should_be.
x.should_equal 2
a.should_not_be nil
When they fail they yield messages like:
1 should equal 2
nil should not be nil
When I''m caught off guard, which can be often, these messages confuse
me. 1 should equal 2? No it shouldn''t. nil should not be
