Hi, I am running wine 0.9.58 and having problems running Counter Strike: Source, Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield. I think this is caused by the direct x layer in wine. My system runs opengl programs fine using the ATI driver (Radeon 3850). Is there any way I can test directx functionality without having to download a game? Dxdiag.exe is not included in wine. Well the title says it all Im having some trouble attempting to install Direct X 9 I know WINE does not support Direct X so I am using Winetricks in an attempt to install it. However, It is not working for me so I need someone to walk me through the installation of Direct X 9 and what you would do to complete the installation. Ever since 1.1.27, I've been having problems with what I think is directx. I updated to 1.1.29 (I skipped .28) and I still get the same errors. I've tried using winetricks to install Directx9, but it doesn't do much to alleviate the problem. Hi people . Im new to Wine Forums and to Linux World,and i had a problem . I installed Wine 1.1.8 from source and them i make a uninstall . I upgrade to 1.1.9 but my configuration wine file still remains (the 1.18 version ) . I want to uninstall everything (including the configuration files) except the aplications. how do i do that ? and i dont want to "rm" the .wine directory.

I have a couple of questions about Wine, just in an attempt to enhance my understanding of it: Is Wine writing its own implementation of DirectX, which sort of 'forwards' instructions to an equivilant in OpenGL?
