I have searched a lot, and all I could find was that S3TC is not available in the open source driver, and to me it seems that this is why they do not start. Hello, I'm new to Wine but have just installed Splinter Cell Double agent. I can get the game to launch, but it crashes and displays a message saying Wine caused the crash. Hey guys. I have this problem. All of my games look like this, picture is badly distorted (but games clearly work). I have been trying to solve this for the last 10hrs, trying different X resolutions/refresh rates, different games settings, different wine settings/versions, different monitor inputs(vga,dvi,hdmi)/settins, whatever came to my mind. I installed the game - Medieval total war. It seems everything works fine, but there is one problem. When launching the game. I saw the screen does not display military unit or any other game related stuff (e.g. forest, casstle, troop, etc.) It only shows a screen that contains grass and a blue something like sea.
