Warcraft III cinematics
Hi all, I'm using Wine 20050930 on Gentoo Linux. I have successfully installed Warcraft III and got it working for the most part. I can't get the in game cinematics working. I had them working with Wine 200410??. Now all I get is a message about an invalid resolution. The movie scenes are 800x368 and I run the game at 800x600 using opengl. System specs: Toshiba Satellite 3000

SegFault with World of Warcraft
Hello! A rather new wine user here. I'm running a 64bit ArchLinux and have installed wine and practically all 32bit libs, so as far as I know, I shouldn't have a problem there. I'm trying to play World of Warcraft, but when starting the game up, it complains about Segmentation Fault and something about the LD_LIBRARY_PATH.http://pastebin.com/m7d89e8d4 There is the output when

World Of Warcraft
Hi, I am sure there where a lot of questions to this toppic already but I would like to ask if someone has the same problems. I looked a bit in the archieve with no result. I usually set my wine config up with winesetuptk. There I can choose between Managed and unmanaged Windowmanagement. (If the windowing is controlled by X or by wine.) Now both work great. My only Problem is that I have a

[1.3.20] Mouse stuttering issue in World of Warcraft
I just installed 1.3.20 from the PPA on my Ubuntu 11.04 64-bit installation. One of the new features is the "Option to clip the mouse inside fullscreen windows". I wonder if this is related to the problem that has now cropped up since 1.3.19. In World of Warcraft when I move my mouse the position resets at constant intervals (~ 2 seconds). (When moving the mouse ever two seconds the

Alt+right click in DirectX applications
Hi all, I sincerely hope you can help me with this since it has turned out to be a real hassle for me. The problem is, that whenever I Alt+Right click in a fullscreen DirectX application (in this case World of Warcraft), it open the menu from the window manager similar to the menu which pops up when you right click the titlebar of a windowed application (Maximize / Minimize / Move / Resize ...).

Warcraft III in Second X Server
I currently have have wc3 barely working right now and have been trying to get better performance by running it in a second X server. It DOES work in windowed mode on my primary X server but I would really prefer a full screen experience. The only difference in output in between windowed mode and my second X server is this bit when I run my secondary X server: Code:

World of Warcraft freezes and stutters periodically
Hi, When I load World of Warcraft the CPU jumps from an average of 10-15% up to 100% and stays there pretty constantly whilst playing. This doesn't seem to affect gameplay most of the time (and I understand it may be relatively normal behaviour for running games under Wine), but occasionally I get a complete lock up of the game for about 3 seconds. The game screen freezes completely and the

window managers
Are there any good window mangers that look decent, or can be configured decent looking that work well with Wine, including switching between fullscreen and windowed modes? I ask because the quartz-wm window manager thats default for X11 on OSX isn't good enough to go along with RandR. Games that do not crash when switching back and forth will not decorate, or stop decorating... like moving

Warcraft 3-ROC and screen resolution
Hello there, I have successfully run Warcraft3-ROC (patch level 1.2e) with wine-0.9.24. Everything works fine (copy protection, sound, ...), but wine refuses to launch the game in another resolution but 800x600x16bpp either in fullcreen or windowed mode. My config : - 1680x1050 TFT display, - geForce 6100 with 128M of videoRAM, and latest Nvidia drivers (1-9629) - a sempron 2800+ I would expect

Wine / Warcraft 3 Problem but I'm sure anyone can help.
Hi, I am desperately trying to get keyboard input in wine when it is not windowed, or alternatively stop my mouse cursor from leaving the wine window when it is in window mode. I am using wine 20030219 with RH 8.0, trying to play Warcraft 3. Keyboard issue: When I run wine without the desktop window switch - "Desktop" = "1024x768", any keys pressed go straight to the

World of Warcraft in Wine
I have installed World of Warcraft in Wine in Ubuntu 8.04 and it works nicely, good frame rate, etc. but the only issue I have is that the lower inch of the screen does not display. On a 1280x1024 resolution on a 19" monitor I lose about the last inch of the lower part of the screen so I cannot see the interface buttons. This happens in full screen or windowed. The game does fully display

world of warcraft drops to 1 FPS after runing for a while
Dear wine users, I have run wow under wine successfully for a while on my old computer, but recently I upgraded my system, and I am expreiencing a baffling problem : WoW runs great for a while, but after about 10 minutes, it drops down to 1 FPS. This corresponds with the cpu usage of WoW.exe jumping from about 60% to 100%. It feels to me like the game switched from using nvidia openGL to

Running Warcraft 3 + Listchecker a hosting tool
Running on a fresh install of Ubuntu Intrepid and WINE 1.1.10 I'm having some issues running warcraft 3 (the only game I play, so this is somewhat offputting). When starting Warcraft in normal (direct3d) mode the top and bottom panels stay there (making the game unplayable). I'm able to use -opengl and the game fullscreens correctly, but then when I start listchecker (a hosting tool

Re: World of Warcraft - Screen Tearing
I've been having the screen tearing issue as well, for about a week. It's not clear whether the symptoms followed the WoW 3.3.3 update, or an update to wine or the ATI drivers. At times the whole Wow window is broken into rapidly moving colored polygons, at other times there's just some flashing bright lines like tracer fire. Only seems to affect the background window if there is a

[Game] Pathologic: help me create a useful bug report
Appdb entry (http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=8352) I'm trying to get all my games to run under linux, but of cause a few are giving me problems, and Pathologic is one of the few that really bothers me. As far as I can tell, the game uses DirectX9, Windows Media format (cinematics), and OpenAL. Of the three, the WMF dependency is the most annoying, as it

Half Life 2 Episode 1 Audio and Fullscreen issues wine1.2rc7
I recently updated to the newest stable wine through the ppa for Ubuntu. I didn't have problems running Half Life 2 E1 before upgrading but now I have a few issues. When launching the game it's in a sort of a windowed mode and then when it goes to load the main menu it tries to go fullscreen but I can still see my dock and my top panel. If I adjust the screen resolution and set it back I

Fullscreen Problem
Whenever I fullscreen a windowed application using Wine there is an empty and unused bar at the bottom of the screen and my application resizes to fit the remaining area, although my mouse is still able to move to the bottom of the screen. I'm pretty sure that this is wine-related for a couple of reasons. First, I've tried different window managers (compiz and kwin) and gotten the exact

Weird fullscreen behavior with 0.9.57 and 0.9.58
Hi all, Since two WINE versions, I'm experiencing the same behavior reported in http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10755 but related to two other fullscreen'ed programs: EVE Online v.4.10.51200 Premium World of Warcraft 2.3.3 w/Burning Crusade Before starting a regression (I'm ready to do that but my machine isn't the fastest kid in town, so I want to be sure it's a
