Neverwinter Nights thru Wine
Hi all, Installed NWN and it plays kind of choppy with no sound. I then wanted to uninstall it but it keeps giving me a 0x800000 something or other fault. it seems to have brought all the gibbly goop from windoze with it. How can I uninstall it? I can't even find where it installed to so I can manually get rid of it. TIA, Chuz

Mass Effect 2 bug 23135
Hello. I am wondering if anyone is playing Mass Effect 2 with the latest wine, (patched or otherwise) and if so, are you using a dual core cpu? Mine is an AMD am2 6000+, and I have trouble with bug 23135, Mass Effect 2 hangs/crashes after Sheppard is reanimated. Dan Kegel is thinking of closing the bug under suspicion that it's a game glitch, now a wine problem, and some posts on the bioware

Installing Unreal Tournament 3 and Neverwinter Nights 2
so I pop my dvd's in, double click the "setup.exe", select the location where I want to install it ( it's a mounted NTFS drive ) and it keeps reporting that I don't have enough disk space to install it on Is this because wine doesn't work well with NTFS, am I doing something wrong or something? any suggestions thanks

neverwinter nights no longer works with 1.1.25
Hello, I was using neverwinter nights 1.68 with wine 1.1.24 and all was good. But with 1.1.25 I can no longer start the game. It goes past the intro movies but instead of showing the main menu it shows a blank screen. What do I do now? Can I post a bug? Where?

Playing Neverwinter Nights
I've installed Neverwinter Nights using a wrapper in Wineskin, but when given the option to select an EXE I don't know which to pick. I've systematically gone through all the different things I think are most likely, but nothing lets me run the game. With some .exe files, such as nwmain.exe (which i thought would be the one) the whole Wineskin program simply stops responding. I

Neverwinter Nights suddenly not working
I've had NWN running on this PC just fine, but all of a sudden, it fails to run, giving me the infamous 'encountered a serious problem' dialog. System is Ubuntu 10.04, wine 1.3.14, nVidia Corporation C67 [GeForce 7000M / nForce 610M] (rev a2). Full terminal output at http://pastebin.com/WmCEteZK Any ideas? Many thanks, David Shaw

Neverwinter Nights creature viewer problem
New on this list - bear with me if I put an unintentional foot in my mouth. Neverwinter Nights is a game that's coming out on both windows and linux (and the Mac). What is _not_ coming out for Linux is the toolset used to make new adventures and such. We are a lot of people that hope to be able to run the toolset under Wine, however. A couple of days ago, the developers released a

Game very slow (neverwinter Nights 2 + Expansion)
After 1 day of work i finally got NWN2 working. The game starts, and everything seems to work. (even the Securom copyright protection). But in the game I have a big problem: the FPS are around 0.5. :( I have tried some things, but I'm am not experienced enough with wine, to fix this issue. (Others have 30 FPS with similar hardware) The things I have done: Added the Direct3D Registry Keys

[LLVMdev] Relocation issue with jump tables in ELF object files on X86_64
(llvm 2.6) We have an application where we are using LLVM to generate ELF object files for X86_64. At runtime we load these objects files into memory using our own ELF loader. Everything is working except for the jump tables. The ELF emitter is generating JMPQ instructions using X86::reloc_absolute_word_sext relocations which we are unable to patch to the jump table in the .rodata segment

[LLVMdev] Relocation issue with jump tables in ELF object files on X86_64
We generating object files, not using the JIT so I don't know if those fixes applies in our case. As far as using PIC goes, the ELFCodeEmitter has asserts to tell you that PIC isn't currently supported. Will have to get the 2.7 update and try it out. Thanks. -----Original Message----- From: Howell, Nathan [mailto:nhowell at ebay.com] Sent: Thursday, June 17, 2010 3:45 PM To: Eli

[LLVMdev] Relocation issue with jump tables in ELF object files on X86_64
I had this problem a while back and received this response from Jeffrey. FWIW this is fixed in 2.7 by defaulting to CodeModel::Large and using indirect (far) calls. -----Original Message----- From: Jeffrey Yasskin [mailto:jyasskin at google.com] Sent: Monday, December 07, 2009 11:32 AM To: Howell, Nathan Cc: LLVM Developers Mailing List Subject: Re: [LLVMdev] 2.6 JIT using wrong address for

[Dragon Age Origins] Official DLCs "Unable to load area"
I have a Steam version of DAO + Awakening and have had no troubles with it up until now when I've bought some DLCs from official bioware store. For any DLC I bought I'm getting "Unable to load area" error right after character creation or importing (or, in case of "Leliana's song" --- right after "Play" is pressed in "Other campaigns" menu). wisotool: automated game installer, now supports 12 games
wisotool is a handy winetricks-like script for automatically installing games from .iso files copied from your own dvds (or, if the game is freely downloadable, it will download it). Just like winetricks, it is intended to make testing Wine easier, but might be useful for people who simply want to install games. Unlike winetricks, wisotool is quiet by default; it doesn't ask any questions
