wine has successfully mounted guildwars and i've installed the game. but when i try to play there is no video. can anybody please tell me what's going on and how to fix it?

I'm attempting to use the Guild Wars Client to see if it will work on WINE, but it keeps displaying an error about not being able to write to the proper directories. I told it to install in C:\Program Files, and my .wine/fake_windows/* folders all seem to have correct permissions. Any ideas why this would happen? I am trying to run a 2d overhead ultima type game through wine but have some problems. At one point it would run but would refresh the slides of the pictures about once every 5-8 secs and then crash after about a minute or so. Hallo to everyone. I was trying to play guild wars on a windowed mode, and i clicked the X button on guildwars, so my whole wine got screwed and i had to restart my laptop. Ever since, wine configuration has a huge interface which i cant make smaller. i cant see all of it and i cannot do anything for the configuration. Any hints? I am on Ubuntu 8.04

Trying to open and edit a form in wine using Access 2000. Only problem is that the file I need is over the network on a win xp server. Good morning. I have been having problems with WINE and not being able to see the text or buttons/icons at the top of the app, or when I open any of the tabs. I have the latest version of WINE and am still having the same problems. If I click on the individual tabs all I get is a quick view (faster then a blink of an eye) of the text, so I can not even configure WINE if I wanted to. Please help

Since I first tried nVidia's AIGLX with Compiz I've been seeing some pretty consistent drawing problems on GWD's minimize and maximize buttons on hover.
